I voted for jazz, though lately I've been listening to a lot of Eastern music (that's Eastern as in traditional Asian, not as in the East coast). The country and western quote from Blues Bros was just kind of apropos. Most of the stuff in my collection is jazz.

Have you listened to any of the Water Lily Acoustic releases. My curiosity was peaked at this label when the Bela Fleck release caught my eye. Do you have an SACD player and if so do you have any of these titles on SACD? I'd love to sample them!

    Ok, I added R&B and C&W.

Grant, I moved your vote to R&B as requested, and moved rudy & GregM's to C&W.

Oh, and I added Tullman's mother in law's vote. :D

OK as long as you include the other 12 people in my apartment building. ;) So that's another 11 votes for Rock N' Roll and 1 for Classical.:D

I like the way the little color bars creep across the screen to reveal the results...

    Yeah.

    I like that.

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

My interests vary so much it's impossible to choose just one category. I listen to Classic Rock, Big Band, Rock, Southern Rock, Country Rock,New Wave, Glam, Gospel, Pop, Popular, Soul, Motown, Old Blues, Blues, Old Jazz, Jazz, Bluegrass, Old Country, Folk, Folk Rock, Classical, Original Soundtracks. TV Soundtracks, New Age. and some I overlooked! A very tough question.

Can you retract my rock and roll vote so I can vote on the genre I listen to the most which is country, Holy Zoo?

I voted for classical even though there's no way to really vote for one! I guessed that classical would have a weak showing and I was right. Only 2 of us?! Sigh.
Anyway, I think it's a flat tie between classical and 'rock' for me, and with rock I include all the pop/rock/alt-country that can fall in there. Jazz is a close 2nd.
Thanks a lot guys, I lost sleep on this one! ;)

Can't really chose between Rock and Jazz. Rock was played on the radio stations when I/we grew up. So we are slanted toward it.

Let's give some credit though. Dave's point is right on the money. 100%. Thanks for bringing it up, Dave.
We need 'fresh' material for audiophile releases. The 10th audiophile release of "Kind of Blue" ain't getting me out of my chair and heading to the store to see if the remastered 45 mono version sounds better than the 33 1/3 stereo.

Thanks Dave, we do need fresh titles.
There is too much fantastic stuff out there, someone should have the guts to bring it to you.

Our company will bring fresh titles to the market. Some you may not have heard. But you will be wondering why you hadn't after you hear them.
We only make LPs at this time though, so if you want to hear new/fresh titles, get out your turntable.

We selected / mastered our first title just one month after its original release.
When it was nominated for 2 Grammys in January, we were done with the audiophile remastering. I believe that was a first. It won't be the last. I assume we are all here for the same reason - the music.

Sound...yes...fresh titles! Be it rock, jazz, blues, whatever.

Can you fill us in on what titles you are involved with? Sounds interesting.

I listen to C&W the most, so please move my vote as well. It is currently at Rock and Roll.

Our first was Karrin Allyson - Ballads - "Remembering John Coltrane"
Karrin is superb and extremely talented. 'Important' is a word I use to describe her work often. She has recieved rave reveiws and testamonials like noone could hope for.
What I call her approval rating (what people think when they hear her for the first time) is sky high. Higher than the Beatles. If you don't want our rare blue audiophile vinyl version, go check out the Concord CD. Check out her "Paris to Rio" Concord cd(1999) also. Her new release "In Blue" will be out in August.

I'm working on the contract for PA-002, we are a couple weeks away on the signing. I better not jinx it, but I'll be glad to post it the second it's signed.

It's not quite as fresh, but not nearly enough have heard it.
    The performance is stellar.

Good job, sound! Karrin is extrodinary! I have the 'Ballads' Concord CD and 'Daydream'. This must sound excellent on vinyl. Now, if I ever get a TT... :o

I agree with you about her talent and recommend any of her music to any of the jazz fans on this forum.

    Keep up the good work!

    Well, well, well....

Now that this poll is dead. The reason I posted this poll in the first place was to prove to everyone here that Rock rules! It would appear that quite a few of you agree with me. So again, why all the Jazz releases when clearly, and repeatedly rock sales will be better for any company? ;)
