When did smooth jazz start?

Same with me. Probably one of the reasons target marketing of music doesn't seem to work unless you go online and buy one style of music and that site sends you a message...If you like that, we recommend this and even that doesn't work most of the time for me.

 

Well, and improvisation is composition-on-the-fly (which I what I think you were saying in at least the second sentence there).

 

Yes, and composing on the fly can have its own style of sound and quality that is different from the time consuming form of composing.

Some Smooth Jazz can be quite good and enriching to listen to if the original composition outshines the performer.

But then of course vice versa...


Is this Smooth Jazz?
