My sophomore year was September 1975 to June 1976. I was just starting to get into music seriously so my vinyl collection at the time was minimal. Off the top of my head some of the bands/artists/titles I was spinning were...

    BTO - Four Wheel Drive
Three Dog Night - Their Greatest Hits
    Elton John - Greatest Hits
    Ambrosia - Ambrosia
    Led Zeppelin - IV
    Steely Dan - Katy Lied
    KISS - Alive
    Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
Grand Funk - All Of The Girls In The World Beware
War - Why Can't We Be Friends?

After so many years of my Monthly Mix group I've created a mix for just about every theme I can think of including this very one.

That would be around 1992 for me. On a mix of vinyl and tape it would have been:

The Wedding Present - They released a single every month in 1992.
    Morrissey and The Smiths
    The Jesus and Mary Chain
    The Cure
    The Beatles
    Rolling Stones
    The Velvet Underground
    Blur
    Primal Scream
Ride - I loved Going Blank Again
    Teenage Fanclub

I was very much the indie student and a bit of cliche, but I still love all these bands and albums.

The usual suspects on 8-track in my older friend's hippie vans and muscle cars.
I didn't get my own license until I finished sophomore year in the Spring of 1970.
At home it was invariably all vinyl all the time.

The Beatles were always there on my CD and record player but then I was mostly listening to Pink Floyd albums, which I just discovered at that time.
Same with Queen, Coldplay and the Rolling Stones probably. The only recent/new records I bought were:

    - Coldplay - X&Y
    - Green Day - American Idiot
    - Green Day - Bullet In A Bible
