Band On the Run by a factor of about 1000.

Jet. BOTR is kinda fun, butJet rocks pretty well and has one of the loveliest lines: "I thought the only lonely place was on the Moon." Course, finding out about the horse injects some sappy factor.

When I think about how these songs go they inevitably get mixed up with each other. Then again, I'm not a huge Wings fan.

No vote, because they are the same song to me.

Love both, but Jet gets the nod. Love that organ solo!

Band On The Run, easily. I love the fragments of the three parts, how it starts as a slow moody sond and ends as a sunny acoustic pop song. I still get chills at the 2:05 mark when the horns kick in and the acoustic guitars chime in along with " Well the rain exploded with a mighty crash..." BOTR both the album and the song really got me into music. I never grow tired of the song, or the album. It would be my desert island album.

I like Jet as well but the "Jet!" chourus rhymes with my name so my friends always yell my name instead of Jet if they hear the song. It was funny the first 50 times they did it, but after that... ;)

A toss-up for me. The thread made me think back to the first time I heard these songs, when the album came out...this was pretty damned exciting music, of a quality much higher than anything he had done (in my opinion then and still) since the Fab Four. So, I can't pick one over the other.

Seriously, I think they are both really great tunes.

For me Band On The Run is maybe Paul's best post Beatles song. Jet is really good but not of Band On The Run caliber IMHO.

I was always a bigger fan of "Band On The Run", until I heard Jellyfish cover "Jet". That cemented "Jet" for me.

"Jet." I love songs that rock hard but still have very pretty melodies. "Jet" is one of those.

They're both good songs, but I've been skipping them both for years when I listen to BOTR. Why I consider them both to be radio casualties more than other "classic rock" songs I cannot explain.

I think Jet is more musically creative. A little heavier sounding too. Nice driving bass lines.

Jet. I know I'm in the minority with this point of view, but I loathe the Band On The Run title track (and I live the rest of the album).

"Jet". I can listen to it always when it comes on the radio, whereas BOTR feels more played out. But then, I've always liked "Jet" a little more.

I like both equally, but Jet steals it because of Alan Partridge's hotel room rendition.

"Band on the Run" is a stunning mini-suite, I simply love it. "Jet" is a lovely way of going on with that extraordinary album.
