This thread is inspired by my stupid response to the I don't "get" Alabama thread.

So, who is it? I was going to originally name this thread "Who is the coolest looking guy ...", but I don't want to offend the one woman who posts here. Seriously, a RUSH concert gets 100 times more women than this forum, but whatever.

My vote goes to none other than Stan Lynch who is formerly the drummer of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Stan looks cool, and may in fact look cooler than anyone else in the entire history of popular music. Exhibit A:

Feel free to disagree, and name someone who is even more cool looking than Stan, were such a thing possible.

Not a fan, but I can't see how it can be anyone else but this guy. Even his mug shot looked like an album cover!

Early days Elvis Costello. And, a group and not an individual, the cover shot of Love Beach. Well, Costello, anyway.

can't believe i am responding to this (no slur on whomever started the thread, it is an interesting question) but looks do have something to do with music. listen to a good recent (if you can find one) live concert recording of yes and then watch and listen to the same one on you tube and most likely you will not like the sound near as much watching an overweight, dramatically aging chris & alan plodding as you did when listening and not seeing them. looks do taint your outlook on sound.

but my vote goes to annie clark of st. vincent. never have i seen a more cool and confident looking person with musical style and a interesting fashion sense as well. in concert she exudes originality and she steals your glace from the minute she steps on stage till you get sick of screaming for yet another encore. true she borrows from david byrne but everyone borrows from someone.
now excuse me while i get back to the new elle and vogue mags that just arrived.
