When Marc Bolan got down on his knees for the Mystic Lady, I don't think it was to propose.

Not really a teenybopper act but for me being young I was in love with Olivia Newton John in the early 80s.

i did as well for a bit anyway!. saw them live twice here in the states.once at the "height" of their usa popularity i am guessing early 70's played in front of a few thousand people at the spectrum in philadelphia. then a couple of years later they played in front of maybe two hundred folks at the tower theater in upper darby.it holds a bit over 3000. they came out and played a rocking show!

I started buying records in 1972 when aged 10 and the stuff I bought that year were:

    T. Rex Telegram Sam 7”
Paul Simon Mother and Child Reunion 7”
Jackson 5 Looking Through the Windows 7”
Diana Ross Supremes & Temptations TCB LP
    Elton John Honky Chateau LP
Simon and Garfunkel Greatest Hits LP
    Motown Chartbusters Vol 7 LP
    Elton John Crocodile Rock 7”
    Elton John Daniel 7”

So of that lot I guess you would include T. Rex, Elton John and Jackson 5 as teenybopper stuff.

just picked a huge box of teen mags circa 1968/69 ...amazing how the Doors were featured as much the Stones , Monkees and Beatles ...also seeing quite a bit of Zeppelin in some of these issues...

My sister listened Bay City Rollers and Slik for a short time. The latter was slightly better.
    This was my favorite.

2 good singles in Forever & Ever and Requiem.

And a good starting ground for Midge Ure, of course.

My teenage listening habits aren't so different from my listening habits now, many decades later. My pre-teen days were soundtracked by TV and Film stuff and Glam Rock. The usual suspects: Slade, T-Rex, Sweet, Suzi-Q. I wasn't in a position to buy records then though.
