My bad, that should be The Best of 1980 - 1990 instead.

Add "Wide Awake in America" to the list too.

Maybe this is why a local store suddenly has an original 1997 "Pop" for 49€. Which is a very good price.

    POP on vinyl?!

    YEEEEEEEEES BABY!!!!! ACHTUNG! ;)

Would love to see the others being released as well. I've listened to the 'Original Soundtracks No 1' album yesterday. Wow, it's really cool. Although it not like a regular album it's experimental and fits good between 'Zooropa' and 'Pop'.

    Yes indeed.
Seen it for double the price on eBay for quite a while.
Hope the reissues are done well as I can't stand it when new records have scratches or warps before I even played them!
That happened to me with the reissue of Queen's 'Made In Heaven' on vinyl which was pretty good except for the warps.
Why can't every vinyl reissue be like the mono ones from the Beatles? They were PERFECT!

Good news. Hopefully we get Zooropa and a single LP Achtung Baby next.

I would love Achtung Baby! On vinyl.

I've no desire for any others that I don't already have.

It's ridiculous that I can't walk into a record store and buy AB for ~£20

Will Wide Awake have any extras?
Will the others be 2 LP sets?
I may get Pop, not my favorite, but I like some of it and each side will have about equal interest for me.
All That will be a bit front-loaded, a tad first-side heavy for me, despite the last few tracks which I like, so I would likely get that one as well. Will depend on quality of mastering, pressing, and price too though, for me. fwiw.

    Ken.e. Spinning music since...

    Great questions:
Wide Awake likely will not have extra tracks but would be nice
All That You Can Leave Behind is about the same length as How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb which was a single disc
Pop and the Best of are both 10 min longer and would fit well on to 3 sides which in my opinion would be preferred to stretching them to 4 sides. However a 4th sides of b-sides would be very welcome.

No extras, they are the same pressings as the original ones

The original UK "Pop" is visually a highly attractive release with it's gatefold and glossy inners, mine even came with metallic sticker of the artwork. Oh... and then there's the yellow "Limited Edition" hype sticker.

I guess "ATYCLB" is going to be easier to reproduce on vinyl because it's not so much an artefact as "Pop".

Masses of used U2 vinyl out there which you can't even give away! I tried at a car boot. No luck.

It seems that they are planning a HUGE vinyl box set with all the albums and some rare outtakes, etc.

The amazon listings state that all three of these releases are REMASTERED. Who knows what that means in this day and age, but it appears they will be sonically different than their original vinyl counterparts. No extra tracks though.
