Why there there will always be good new music each year...

    ...for me, anyway.

    Going through my Best Of 2015 list, there is a definite pattern that I always seem to have a bunch of favorites albums to choose from. And spread out throughout the year as well. Been going on for many years now and there never seems to be a "weak" year. So why is that, exactly?

    Pretty simple formula...a combination of the sheer number of releases per year, my own desire to sample and sort out the good from the bad, and some dedicated time to do that. It's inevitable that, given these factors, a lot of hidden gems would be found and which I'd then latch onto. And once I find them, then I have them for the long-term.

    That's why I have no concerns that 2016 and beyond won't be the same, as long as I have the ability to sample and sort out the good from the bad. Maybe it's not the 1975 way or the 1985 way, but it has worked for me and will likely continue to be the case.
