Id like to see one more thing done before the book closes. Not a new tour. But one more live album from their best year in japan.

I shouldn't let the cat out of the bag, ' cause I'll get in trouble with the Zeppelin camp for tipping this before the formal press conference announcement in May, but...

They are gearing up for a tour in the fall. They are just waiting for Justin Beiber to clear his schedule so he can take over frontman duties.

The thing is, all sorts of other oldies acts do get together to tour again. There's one critical difference though, they typically need the money whereas Plant doesn't. He's in a good situation financially. Beyond that, Plant's making new music that's vital. As a music fan, I'd rather see him perform material he's currently excited about rather than try to recreate the past.

I don't know but someone should ask Plant about it.

It's primarily Page who wants to go on stage to bang out the oldies. Which is finc. He should do another tour like he did with the Black Crows, where he has a backing band to play Led Zeppelin material. Call it "Jimmy Page presents the music of Led Zeppelin". He gets to churn out those classic riffs in front of an adoring audience, and the nostalgia buffs get to hear songs that transport them back to 1975. It's a win-win.

Possibly, but only for early bird specials to cope with bedtime.

This whole rumor about a promoter offering them 500 Million pounds was false.

I hope they don't reunite for live shows. Zeplin was a band about young guys with testosterone poisoning making thunder.

I would like to see them get together and do a studio album.

If I want to see them live I will watch DVDs of them when their live show represented them well.
Zeplins music was young mens music. Their live show was about youth and vigor. They simply cannot offer something they no longer possess.

Well, yes actually. Which is why I've seen him twice in the last couple of years, and each time he's played WLL. True, he hasn't gyrated much doing so - but he's looked like he's enjoying it...

(I still think that's Bonham on Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man". It sounds exactly like his timing, snare + his fills.)

i am going to do a little jimmy page bashing here, so all you page lovers, get your keyboards ready:

    preface:

all of the following is just one man's opinion, who has been listening to page since the yardbirds.

of the "3" yardbirds, page's was least commercial and , again IMO, the lesser of the the 3 in both songwriting and playing.

zeppelin was his pinnacle, aside form the "plagiarism" plan rt and page wrote and performed music fr the ages, but i truly believe that jones and bonham were equally resposible. bonham and jones may not have written a lot, but their contributions are the back bone of the led zeppelin sound.

lets look at page post-zeppelin: (without jones and bonham)

"coverdale/page" was a disaster, page lovers deny this vehemently, but if they would be honest with themselves they would know it is true.

the firm.........meh. thank god for paul rodgers.

the plant/page fiasco ("no quarter" and "walking into clarksdale") ask yourself this: when was the last time you put either one of those on instead of a led zeppelin album?

the page solo album - i have no words.

his work with puff daddy; puff daddy is all you need to hear on this one.

jimmy page needs to call john paul jones, apologize for the snub on "no quarter" and beg him, on his hands and knees if necessary to play with him again.
