That's very cool. And very informative. However, I would call that more of a "contents" video than an "unboxing" video, as there is not a person actually opening a box, but maybe that's just me.......
Yes it is. Right at #3 after RAM and Electric Arguments. But maybe tied with the Band on the Run/Venus & Mars double whammy.
For me Wild Life is a very enjoyable album that somehow has aged very well Of course it s not Ram, Band on the run or Tug of war. But on it s own it s a very rewarding, in part magical album Dear Friend will always be one of my absolute favorite Paul moments. Some people never know has a very beatlesque vibe, Tomorrow is a classic, Mumbo one of Pauls most effective rockers, Wild Life heartfelt, Love is strange a great groove-track,I am your singer corny but very melodic And Bip Bop is Bip Bop
I have preordered the single LP, actually it's a 2 disc set. But after seeing this video man oh man, there needs to be a service that drops hints to your family members for Christmas presents
Those folios and extras in these RRS and WWL sets are putting the Pepper50 and WA50 sets to shame in terms of extras (of course WA50 has the original 4 photos and poster which are great, but nothing new besides the book). I think that's a big reason these sets cost more. Really beautifully done. Hopefully, either the Abbey Road or Let it Be 50th sets have some interesting and great looking extras such as printed materials, a folio of stills, separate lyrics sheet facsimiles, etc. Abbey Road would be a great one to go all out on extras with some bits of official stuff from the studio reprinted, maybe an Apple Records postcard or something.
I'm with you, this video would have made more sense back closer to sale date. I'm guessing this is some sort of third party service that MPL or someone hired to do the video. It looks a lot like a ZZ Top unboxing video I recently watched. Except for the artwork of course. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10154875309859364
I missed out on the Super Deluxe box, but this is everything I could have hoped for in a Wild Life reissue, and more. Very excited about this.
The Let It Be 50th NEEDS the original Let It Be book from the original Let It Be box and (wishful thinking) the film on Blu-ray, remastered from the original camera negative.
And the original Glyn Johns suggested track listing cleaned up. If it doesn’t have those 3 components, I’ll consider it a missed opportunity. I’ll still be purchasing for release day, but a missed opportunity none the less.
