I only got up to two examples, but there surely must be more.

In The Grateful Dead's version of "Stagger Lee", Delia takes the cowardly lawman's gun and avenges the murder of her man, Billy. She doesn't kill him outright, as the Surgeon General has not found bullet wounds to the testicles to be fatal in 100% of cases. He is dragged to City Hall to be hanged though.

Before we get a slew of "She Shot Her Cheating Man" songs ("Frankie & Albert" and "Lily, Rosemary & The Jack of Hearts" spring to mind), remember that infidelity is not against the law.

  7. Everything else is in second place. This even outdoes Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats". Although I guess that song is disqualified, per the rules posted by the OP.

"Gunpowder & Lead" fills the bill, though. With a vengeance.

Pink's "Revenge" seems to fit - though Eminem guests and gives the male POV as well!

Does the neighbor boy commit a crime against Angie, though (other than possibly peeping)? Seems to me she just “disappears” him because she’s insane—and possibly a witch! :D

Yeah, this one seems more like preventive vigilantism. :)

She never lays out what he's done to her, but domestic violence seems like the obvious conclusion, huh?

"The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" by Vicki Lawrence. Cheatin' may not be against the law, but a double murder certainly is, and even worse, someone else was hanged for the crime you committed.

She committed the murder (actual crime) of her brother’s cheating (not a crime) wife. The brother was then hung (actual crime as there was no trial) for that murder before she could stop it.

In no way did she take the law into her own hands. Maybe actually the opposite because her brother was hung due to her original murder which resulted in your definition of a double murder.

It does not fit the OP at all.

Kate Bush - The Wedding List

All of the headlines said 'Passion Crime'
    'Newlyweds, Groom Shot Dead'
'Mystery Man. God help the bride'
She's a widow, all in red,
With his red still wet. She said--

I'll put him on the wedding list!
I'll put him on the wedding list!
I'll get him and I will not miss.
