You think The French Connection should have ended with the car chase scene?

Maybe the ending could have been better, but worked for what it was. remember Brad Pitt was an academic, not a super hero. The ending made narrative and pyschological sense. For all the bad press pre-release, turned out the movie was absorbing and reasonably intelligent, a B if not a B+.

Much preferred 28 Days Later (2002).

Loved it. Brad Pitts anchors it by playing it straight and believable.

Better than I expected. Have watched it twice now.

I liked it better than I expected I would. The scene in Israel was impressive. The zombies climbing the wall looked momentarily as though they had become a single, organic mass.

Per Wiki: "On June 24, 2017, David Fincher was confirmed by Paramount as the director of the sequel, with Brad Pitt returning to his role."

Bring in Freeman and Paltrow for a "Se7en" reunion! :D

I'm in the better than I thought it would be school. I thought the ending was a bit of let down. I'd rather they saved a few big scenes for last instead of it being pared down to running around a lab as the finale.

I just watched it a few weeks ago. I wasn't super impressed, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.

I had very low expectations with World War Z before it opened on cinemas and I ended up liking it. The plot is entertaining, always in motion, Mr. Pitt is always doing something or going somewhere. I do think too that the scenes in Israel are espectacular.
I like the idea of Fincher directing and working again with Brad Pitt after 22 years, franchise+Fincher+Pitt seems like a good and winner combination.

Pre-production on the sequel has been halted due to budget issues.

Better than I expected but that's about all. I won't be seeing the sequel if it happens.
