A friend of mine claims he owns a tube amp made by Yamaha in 1979. I've never heard of such a think. Who's on crack, him or me?

And he doesn't mean a guitar amp, right?

Correct. He definitely doesn't mean a guitar amp. He's described it to me as a stereo integrated amp with MC/MM phono stage.

    Hmm.
    Sounds like good crack.
I have never seen one and a quick web search revealed nothing. However, companies like Yamaha have huge product portfolios including much great stuff that never makes it to North American shows.
Bug him Prix for the 411. Jeff

I will. He lives way up in the hills, so it's going to be a while before I can see this for myself. One thing is for sure.......if it is a tube amp, I'll be leaving his house with it.

I thought the hill people were more into moonshine.
I suppose the times are a changing. Jeff

No worries. The roads are paved. It's not THAT far up in the hills. Thanks for the warning, though.:)

The hills have eyes. The hill people don't need moon shine to guide them. They can fiddle about in the dark and watch Allison Krauss changing regardless of the time.
