Sounds like we started right about the same time. I was in 5th grade or so.

I know my first rock/pop album (cassette) was Styx "Kilroy Was Here" followed by Def Leppard “Pyromania”. After that I’m pretty sure I joined Columbia House and among my first batch were probably

Aerosmith “Rock In A Hard Place”
    Van Halen “Diver Down”
Men At Work “Business As Usual”
    Fleetwood Mac “Mirage”
    Stevie Nicks “Bella Donna”
    Asia S/T + maybe "Alpha"
    Styx Paradise Theater

    3. Traffic - Traffic
    4. Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow
    5. The Doors - Waiting For The Sun

Started in october 1968 with these.
Thanks to my youthful thoughtlessness I've sold or exchanged most of them. Only Traffic is still in my collection.
