Well, that's sort of positive news. At least we now know that the upcoming releases are something that we have mentioned here in this thread. It is not something that we have not thought up yet.

what we know so far, it's that some of us find what it is
It clearly seems to have 8 tracklist
and it have some colors, even clear colors
and that there is nothing new in the tracklist

By nothing new, does it mean original version of track, or it can be alternative version such as live version ?

so I hope we don't have to wait so long to know exactly what it is ;)

I think the only question at this point is whether this is a coordinated release of the 8 Wings albums (incl. Wings Greatest) on colored vinyl separately or whether it's the 8 Wings albums (incl Wings Greatest) on colored vinyl in a boxed set, right?

As for me, I could use a brand new vinyl Red Rose Speedway (even a black one!) rather than trying to find a good low priced used one (that's not totally beat-up on My Love), so I'd pick up one or two separate releases (maybe London Town), but if it's a boxed set I'm joining the "meh" crowd.

Or without Wings Greatest and an extra vinyl of A side and B Side but are we really sure it can be this...

With pretty much every vinyl box set after a few months the albums become available individually. Maybe not in color though and most of the time there's always one album exclusive to the box set. @Frank

Even though it wasn't a "true" album, I still think they should have done at least SOMETHING with Magical Mystery Tour.

Or at least the 20th anniversary of Flaming Pie.

Already done (and very nicely for the most part) for Magical Mystery Tour (and that involves Apple; not MPL):

I'm with you. Both would be great. Though I'm also happy with a vinyl box set.

The releases I look forward to most-

    The new album by Paul
The Beatles reissues (particularly Abbey Road--- though maybe only my second or third favorite Beatles album, it should sound amazing-the harmonies, the instruments--- it should sound AMAZING)

And- if ever done, which I'm doubting, as I've said before- Now and Then and Carnival of Light. If paul and the others would just get those done I'd be happy.

Yes I have it but that's for the film. Not the album like the 50th pepper. There's no session work or outtakes

Yes, of course. But Anthology 2 has a good amount of MMT outtakes to hold us over for now.

Same. I did that last night.
I'm checking it at school (I'm ahead of my work and were allowed to use our phones at my school) so I won't have to read a bunch when I get home.

Aren't there 9 Wings albums including Wings Greatest?
And, since Paul has named checked Wings when introducing Too Many People, and we have the 3 Legs clue, doesn't this throw all the math off?

Yes, but it can exclude Wings Over America and then only having the studio album or excluding Wings Greatest, or excluding both and adding and extra vinyl

Funny how Paul often refers to "Too Many People" as if it's a Wings song.

I guess sometimes it could be hard for Paul to remember the loose details of every song, but you reckon he would be getting it right by now.

At least he didn't refer to it as a "Beatles" song. Then I'd start worrying that senility is setting in .... ;)

Paul McCartney has sent a consistent message that he thinks Wings began with the Ram sessions despite the Wings name first appearing on Wild Life.

"Little Woman Love," "Get On The Right Thing," and "Little Lamb Dragonfly" were all credited to Wings despite being recorded for Ram. "Another Day" and "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" appeared on Wings Greatest. "Too Many People" was dedicated to the Wings fans.

I don't think any of this is an accident. It's how McCartney sees Wings.

This post is a repeat, originally broadcast June 10, 2016.
