Someone finally adds a little jazz with Herbie and Miles (maybe there was another Miles earlier). I might pick Starfish over Priest=Aura, but I think both have great tracks and forgettable ones.

I only skip Spark on Starfish (sorry Marty!) otherwise a flawless album to my ears. I like dark Church the best, and Priest has got it by the pound

When I’m 64…I admit it’s kind of silly when 64 is in your rear view mirror unless I am looking back at the good old days.

Kind of a weird thread. Hard for me to understand how or why anyone who loves music, would even think about "skipping" a song. We never did that when we were discovering music in the 60's/70's. At least, I hardly ever did. The whole "thing" was that it's an album. With it's flow and mood. Mean't to be judged as a whole concept/show. Cherry-picking just seems disrespectful to the artist, for my mind, anyway. Of course, growing up before the internet, and before general attention spans shruck to where they are today, it wasn't really an issue. You just listened to the album, and, maybe some songs you didn't like as much as others, but, you stayed with it, and took in the whole thing. It made the albums more endearing and they felt closer and more personal.

I know times are different nowadays, so, I guess that's what people do. Yet, part of me feels sorry for someone who would do that (skip a song(s)). I think of it as someone watching a film/movie, but only certain scenes of the movie. Instant-gratification instead of coming to an understanding/knowledge of works of art.

Here are 12 albums we would listen to in the dorms which were current and popular when I was in college. We would "inhale" and then would definitely listen all the way through - with no skips.
