It was so sad to see someone like him who seemed like a genuine nice guy and talented go like he did.

Loved him in Threes Company of course and various movies especially the Problem Child movies and one called Stay Tuned.

    Definitely missed!

John Ritter was a talented actor, recall watching him in many TV roles before his break out in Three's Company*, and many great film roles, later he was interviewed and was a big music lover and fan of The Beatles (another darn Thread?!?), not certain the poster displayed in* was actually his personal poster, but John did attend many "BeatleFest" conventions in L.A. quite regularly back in the 80's.

He actually had another "jerk" role; he was that corrupt chief-of-police in Bride Of Chucky (the 4th entry in the Child's Play film franchise, 1998).

  9. I really enjoy him in anything he did. I had a Jack Tripper crush as a kid.
He was good playing a killer in Law & Order: SVU. Also like him in a "cheesy" romantic made for TV movie called Heartbeat.
Problem Child, Sling Blade...and does anyone else remember The Comeback Kid?
    Memories.

The smug doctor who cuts the fetus from his pregnant wife's womb because he think his wife was having an affair.

A far cry from Jack Tripper.

Grew up with him as he was popular on TV in Australia.
It was such a shock when he died suddenly so young.
    RIP

Only recall seeing him in 2 of my favorite Movies, 'Slingblade' and the Best Christmas Movie ever, 'Bad Santa'(or tied with 'Die Hard' as the best Christmas Movie). Someone mentioned he had a guest role in 'Scrubs'. Not sure how I missed that episode or do not recall it as I loved 'Scrubs', as I saw a lot of myself in Dr. Cox( and Dr. House, although a different tv show).

Chris from Chicago Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes

He was the rare talent that everyone seemed to like. In fact... back in the day you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that didn't.

Actually he was in more than one episode. Here is a clip from Season 1.
(And apparently his comment at the very end was adlibbed, but Bill Lawrence decided
    to use it...).

He seemed like the kind of guy who could be your dependable best friend. Perhaps limited range as an actor but he had the likability factory that many lack.

I was just watching some Three's Company bloopers on YouTube yesterday. John Ritter was a very talented comedic actor, and one of the most likeable guys to ever step in front of a camera.

I forgot to mention and do not think it was in a prior post, but think Ritter was in the original version of the movie 'IT' although the Adult actors in that movie were not that good compared to the Kid Actors. Maybe, the writing for the Adult parts was not as strong though. Will be interesting to see how the 2nd installment for the Remake of 'IT' that will cover the Adult Years and which Actors will play the Roles of the Kids as Adults to take on Pennywise.

I for one would like to throw-out a big corollary RIP to Mr. Don Knotts who played the inimitable Ralph Furley alongside Mr. Ritter.

I remember she was devastated when he passed. That whole cast was.

I remember being up really really late the night he died and couldn't sleep for some reason. So i was listening to the radio and i had tuned in Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell trying to get sleepy enough to drift off. As I was starting drifting off Art ( or his guest host, i don't remember) announced the bulletin that came over the AP reporting John Ritter had died. I sprung up awake in shock and needless to say I never got to sleep that night.

Talented guy and one of the few true good guys in Hollywood.
