2001: A Space Odyssey - Definitive version on DVD?

I love this movie, hence my screen name with the 2001 in it. I too saw it on the giant curved Cinerama screen at the old Randolph Theatre in Philadelphia. Quite an experience, especially from row 1 of the balcony!

It was the rare widescreen showing of this film on a local PBS station that convinced me to go get a LaserDisc player. 2 old VHS copies, 2 Laserdisc copies, and now 2 different DVD copies later, and I think I'm finally happy. The latest version from the Stanley Kubrick Collection is about as good as it gets at this point.

Oh! And then there's all the soundtrack versions I've amassed over the years!
