A couple LaserDiscs that I used to have would be nice:

Paul Simon In Concert- from his One Trick Pony tour

    Takanaka- Rainbow Goblins Story

I know they were shot in video, but I would sure like to see and hear them again.

In addition to many other titles that have been mentioned, I’d also like to see

David Bowie - Serious Moonlight, the dvd of this looks terrible. It looked better in LaserDisc.

The Concert for Bangladesh- shot on film, this would be an upgrade, as would...
John Lennon Live in New York City, also shot on film.

Unless it was shot on 35mm or HD its pointless releasing it on Bluray or any other HD format.

My point is that, even though it was filmed in SD videotape, the quality is way, way better than the old VHS and DVD

So, despite not being filmed in 35mm or HD, there's a noticeable improvement. So, with a proper treatment, a SD video will look better on Blu Ray. No doubt.

It wont, a remaster will look fine but will not be higher rez, put it on dvd and "upscale" it on your HD TV and it will look the same as putting it on Bluray. Im from a video post production background. If you are buying Blurays of SD footage you are being fooled.

Of course, you are right. But the sound can be improved, as the Bee Gees had done to two of their SD concert films. They were worth my money, even though the visual side is not better than DVD.

So, are you saying that our eyes are only imagining the improvement?

Stick with the old VHS and Laserdiscs, then.

Pulse looks the same on every version, since it was shot on SD video ... No improvement whatsoever ...

Elton John - In Concert 1974

And of course, the great Edinburgh 1976 solo concert

Some improvement to my eyes on a real television not sharing the screen with other videos. The original DVD has more compression artifacts visible. Yes, they're both SD, but the blu-ray looks a little cleaner. On a blu-ray, the bandwidth of the audio doesn't encroach on the bandwidth of the video. Plus, PULSE is now on one disc instead of two, which is nice. When they were still doing it, I collected The Simpsons on blu-ray, as they took up less discs. No real picture improvement there, just handy.

Not so much a concert as it is a bunch of different shows and interviews but I am still waiting for The Police Around the World to be officially released on dvd. Still have the VHS but no VCR.

The DVD sales figure were way under the projected numbers. I doubt a BR will surface until some inevitable supermegareissueboxset programme for Depeche.

Given that the 2014 reissues didn't sell out the first pressing, and that Gedge was offered the overstock at cost (and declined as he didn't think it would sell), the unsold stock was destroyed with a certificate of destruction. It's unlikely there'll be a BR release!

Which was on blu-ray, but apparently is now out of print. I don't think it had much in the way of extras, but I'm not sure. I have it on . . . HD-DVD! D'oh!

I totally agree, SD video + New Audio remaster, can blow away the original.

In Cabaret Voltaire's case, they use grainy low-res Source, so HD won't make any difference at all:

Here's my remaster of 'Sensoria (extended)'

Nonsense. 16mm can look fantastic in HD. And even with SD video, there's always the possibility of lossless sound for a BD release.

It is, but impractical to think that there's any real possibility with a lot of these.

True, and semi True, you don't need a BD for lossless sound.

Several versions of the Star Wars films have been transferred from film, and look great in HD.
16mm is cutting it close. 8mm, definitely not. 35mm for sure.
