    I hear what you’re saying -
However, this thread can be approached as,
“What Songs From the Sixties Would You Play For Someone Who Asked What Music Was Popular Then”
    or
“Hey Man!!! Compile Your Own K-Tel Various Artist Album: Groovy Sounds Of The Sixties

Quoting additional factors mentioned in the OP:
“What are those songs that belong irrevocably to the sixties?! The ones with 60s slang, references, anything that reminds you of this decade.”

    Actually -
I posted my responses without consideration of the stipulation in the OP:
What are those songs that belong irrevocably to the sixties?! The ones with 60s slang, references, anything that reminds you of this decade.”

I guiltily admit that I just focused on the “Sixties Vibe”, or feeling, or musical style... :(
...Which seems to be okay, anyway! ;)

I always thought Chris White bore a strong resemblance
to Johnny of "Night of the Living Dead".

This was my lead pick. Also that dreadful "PSA as pop song"
from '71 or so warning about the dangers of drugs.

    Or something.

Aside from “Eight Miles High” of these records sound timeless, except for certain instrumental aspects - the mono wall of sound of “Be My Baby” or the organ sound of “Light My Fire” for example. “The House of the Rising Sun” sounds like it could have been a blues song from the Deep South, sometime before World War II.

A song that could have been written only in the '60s...

Those songs that usually appear in movies or series evoking the '60s.

For instance, in The Simpson's episode when Homer became a hippie, the following songs were played (among others):

"Incense And Peppermints" by Strawberry Alarm Clock
"Time Of The Season" by the Zombies
    "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane

But surely they were already mentioned here.

See also the soundtrack of Forrest Gump.

John Lennon's voice is so 60's to me. Like if you think about it there were a lot of bands in the 60's with lead singers who sounded like John Lennon, am I the only one who thinks this? Even the guy who sings the 1969 Scooby-Doo theme sounds a bit like John Lennon to me. So I'd say anything John Lennon sings on.

I’ve learned on this thread that
Songs written and recorded in the Sixties
Sound like they are from the Sixties.
