A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall - Bob Dylan or Bryan Ferry?

A 50/50 choice. What is your preferred version? I have to go with Bryan Ferry; definitely one of my favourite cover versions, preferably the full, These Foolish Things album version. I also like Bob's take, and the song and lyrics are exceptional. One of my favourite songs of all time. I don't know of any other version, but feel free to post others.

 

I never heard Ferry´s version but, well, I prefer Dylan´s

 

Ferry's version just doesn't have the same impact as Dylan.

 

I'll post them both.

I would choose Dylan's 1975 live version, then his acoustic studio take, and then Ferry's. All of them great.

That's not Bryan Ferry! Is it one of those 'not by the original artist' LP's?

 

Ferry's version is superb, but of course, it's all down to Bob which ever way you look at it !

Bryan Ferry. I remember loving it as a single in 1973. It's so OTT!
