Apparently pre-orders were bigger for this project than Sgt Pepper and the White Album

 

Hard to believe. Even more than Pepper you say ? Don’t know ..the buzz was bigger for the white album i thought. Have to wait for the exact sales figures.

 

Can only assume the price pitch may have an impact? As in the UK, The White Album SDE was over £100, Sgt Pepper was just under this and AR is around £85 on realise. Having said that wasn't Abbey Rd the biggest selling Beatles (original) album, globally?

Just received an e-mail from Amazon to say it's coming today (Mon 30th). I also got an e-mail from them on Sat 28th to say that I've saved a massive 4p on my order of over £143. Wow I'm almost lost for words!

 

So, my cheap Canadian order arrives today! Incredible evolution of the delivery date:

-November 12 when I placed the order
-October 3rd when it was shipped
-DHL updated to October 1st a few hours later
-Today (September 30th) is on delivery!

And this with the Standard shipping option

 

Well my Bullmoose SDE finally wandered into my post office early this morning. Should have it today and hopefully in perfect shape. I'll be playing the Blu Ray first to see if it works and listening to the 5.1 mix.

I've already heard the SDE a few times on Tidal/Amazon HD over the weekend. So I might take a breather with AR 50th after I listen to the surround mix. Glad I'll have it soon!

No, November 12 is the first delivery date they gave me when I placed the order on August 8th.

By the way, it has arrived in perfect condition. Can't wait to give it a spin when I get home this evening

Just arrived 20 mins ago. can't believe how heavy it is. I ordered the full monty (both deluxe sets). This book is something else, great pic of John & Yoko On P14 (lol). Just put the re-mix Cd on, sounds great!

 

Now you've got me worried. Maybe I should just skip over page 14 then. And still, my Japan shipment still hasn't gone out. Has anyone else had a shipment from Japan go out yet? Mine just says "in transit" which seems to mean it's on a golf cart being driven around the warehouse with some guy looking for an EMS envelope to put it in.

 

My deepdiscount 3 LP set is scheduled to arrive today, as is the Amazon CA SDE bargain order. Played all 4 sides of the Esher Demos yesterday in anticipation. Not sure which set to break into first today when they arrive!

For those keeping track:

Ordered the CD deluxe from ImportCDs when they had it for $60 odd dollars. Received it today in perfect condition. It actually arrived Saturday but i wasnt around for the delivery. I was a bit nervous after reading some comments about Import, but it seemed to work out pretty well.

Can't wait to dig in!

 

Does anyone know how to find all the returns that have come in to Amazon that will be re-sold at a cheaper price? I got one of those with Sgt. Pepper but am on the lookout for Abbey Road SDE.
