I wish the Paul Chambers disc was still available. I think that is the only one from the series I am missing now.

    Wow, great prices.

I'm pretty much out of the silver disc market, and also don't buy 45s; sticking mainly to 33rpm and FLAC files. So I'm saving money here.

I do think this sale is a reflection of where the market currently is for the 45rpm and SACD formats. But for those still interested in those, this is a great sale!

Compared to what is available at the site or out there, this is a very small selection.

The DSD download? Why would you suspect the APO SACD would sound better?

Flac DL. I don't own a standalone DSD DAC or drive. Foobar is all I have for raw DSD, & my soundcard down samples to 16/44 PCM.

There’s another download other than the DSD? Is the flac from a different master? If so, it certainly should different (better is subjective).

If the same master, in theory the SACD should sound “better” since I believe it was mastered natively to DSD. And it might sound “better”. But don’t be surprised if you hear virtually no difference.

lol, shipping 10 of those SACD-s to Europe is 59 USD and shipping 5 of them is still 53 USD. I should buy a plane ticket and get them personally.

Yes, shipping to Europe from the USA is expensive these days. We understand.

;) I wonder how much order traffic Acoustic Sounds is getting with international orders nowadays. I think very little because they haven't even bothered to develop a system for customers to know right away how much is the shipping - waiting 48 hours (+ the weekend) to get to know the total amount is so 2002. They should mail me the price in an envelope and make me pay for the shipping - would be probably faster ;)

    Any recommendations on the 45s?

They must have been swamped with orders over the weekend. I went back in yesterday and ordered Dippin’ and the order number was nearly 1,000 in sequence higher then my Friday order. And it still says “in process”. The other order shipped the same day.

& congress due to the unique manner USPS pensions are funded (differently than ANY other branch of gvt). Shipping from the USA to most other countries is significantly higher than from the other country to the USA. When I started my internet business in 1999, shipping 1 cd in a box from the USA to Canada was under $3 USD. Now in a bubble mailer (lower weight) it was over $10 USD last time I checked.

Mine did too. Almost 5 pounds! My last big order from Acoustic Sounds was impeccably packed, double boxed, thick boxes and thick bubble wrap inside.

Just ordered two of the empty boxes to hold my AP Blue Note SACD collection. I’ve had those on my wish list forever and I’m super glad I waited to buy them. Really excited to get these!
