not sure if I misunderstand the word "frame" , but to me quite a few here (T.Swift, Renaissance,Band on the run,Tegan and...Commodores,Jackson 5,Emmylou ) are not framed

 

Planning to do this on the CD I aim to finishing recording this week, which includes an original song called Oil Painting.

Poco's From the Inside is the first one I thought of lol.

Love how the back of the album is the framed photograph on the front (with the album cover "displayed") lol.

 

I think these all came out more or less back to back. Dreamland is a comp and is most likely a play on the other three albums.

 

There are a lot of albums that are made to look like frames or actual photographs but are not actually one (some listed above). The Raconteurs first album is a great example. Not sure those actually count. Here's another I thought of. It's negatives of photos so I think that counts.

Canned Heat/ Hooker and Heat. It is a pic of Al Wilson on the wall behind the band and JLH. Al died during the recording and was not able to be in the band picture.
