    Here's a couple to start:
The Rolling Stones- Let It Bleed (This Record Should Be Played Loud)

David Bowie-Ziggy Stardust (To Be Played At Maximum Volume)

    Others?

They don't necessarily have to pertain to volume.

I remember my copy of Instant Karma by the Plastic Ono Band said "play loud" on that side and "play soft" on Yoko's side. I thought that was good advice and always followed it.

Imagine the confusion and mayhem this created among their fans. Some may yet to have heard this album even at this late date...

"This album has a longer running time than most average LP's therefore to achieve maximum effect
    PLAY THIS ALBUM LOUD"

    Rolling Stones, Sticky Fingers:

"A bit of advice from Jimmy M: Maximum cycle characteristics and frequency response of high decible level have been set according to standards suggested in the GUY STEVENS Producers Manual, chart B-357 in index, page 304. These recommended standards were compiled by the same authority having recently measured audible damage created by supersonic aircraft. If for any reason you do not agree with the standards -- turn it up."

One of the less "rock 'n' roll" ones:

Joe Jackson - Blaze Of Glory

For the CD edition of this 12 song album, this was added to the back cover:

"This album is intended to be heard as two continuous sequences of six songs. Starting points for each track have been inserted at the most musically logical points; however, endings will tend to come during musical transitions - or when you hit the stop button. Timings are therefore approximate."

Yer Album by The James Gang came with this:

Producers note: This recording was mixed to be played at the highest possible volume,
and not to be listened to in stereo headphones until after at least three (3) times through the speakers.
Those of you with manual turntables, don't tell your friends about the last grooves, as they will break their
automatic turntables trying to listen to them.

Hahaha, of course that is probably a good thing. Whenever I hear their lead singer I cringe. He always sounds like he's trying to pass a kidney stone.

I haven't listened to it in years, so I don't remember which song, but on 'The Chronic' album by Dr. Dre, one of the songs began with a recording of a guy stating, "This should be played at high volume, preferably in a residential area."

I always got a kick out of that.

Graham Parker's Human Soul album contains the instructions "PLAY LOUD".

Ironically, the lp was cut a little too hot so it doesn't really sound very good loud :) (I don't think I've ever tried cranking the cd on my main system. Maybe it's better. This was a 1989 release after all.)

An unusual one is in Frank Zappa's Ship Arriving Too Late To Save A Drowning Witch where he recommends playing the album on JBL 4311 speakers.

Why can't they put 'play loud' on cd's. Instead we have cd's that are completely over modulated to the extent that you don't even need a volume
    control!
