I know my list is probably a weird one. Some of these would also need to be remastered. Pearl Jam - Ten (Original Red Tint Cover) Harry Chapin - Portrait Gallery Chicago - The Ultimate Collection (Canadian Compilation that looks like a scrapbook) Billy Joel - Cold Spring Harbor (Original Mix, but speed corrected obviously) Paul McCartney - All The Best (UK) Paul McCartney - Unplugged Rolling Stones - Stripped (Japan) Dolly Parton - Treasures Eagles - The Best of (Desert Road Cover) Elton John - The Very Best of (UK double cd) Louis Clark & The Royal Phil Harmonic Orchestra - Classics In Rhythm One's available I want at a reasonable price... Bruce Springsteen - Tunnel of Love (From Box Set) Tesla - Five Man Acoustical Jam (Japan)
There's that Complete Edition of Santana's Lotus which was packaged in a 7'' multi-gatefold sleeve to replicate the original vinyl package. It's a limited hybrid SACD release from Japan. Think such design was also done with Miles Davis' Bitches Brew. Basically it's CDs/SACDs inside and the artwork is big enough to have that analog/vinyl 'feeling'. Best of both worlds. I think many albums should be packaged that way.

Just think how many more CD s I could have had space for if they had all come like that. Of course I wouldn't be able to find anything's as I can't read the damn spines of the ones I do have in that format
I have one of these - Lotus - coming in later this week. Really looking forward to it. Incredible live album that's very underexposed in the US. It's on the level of Yessongs, ABB @ Fillmore East, Live at Leeds...among the very best.
Cool. $75 + shipping. I honestly don't know if it will work on any of my standard CD players. Everything I've seen tells me it should. Fingers crossed.
It should. That's Hybrid SACDs with a CD layer for each disc. The SACD layer actually is the quadraphonic mix. Both versions now have the complete concert.
There are so many cool album covers that either through the materials used or the design were very cool I would love to see reproduced. Crosby, Still, Nash & Young - Deja Vu the textured cover with the photo attached and the gold foil lettering The Doors - LA Woman the clear window on the cover that let the print of the band on the yellow album sleeve show through Jethro Tull - Think As Brick - with the fold out newspaper Alice Cooper - Schools Out - with a woman's panties over the inner sleeve And so, so many more
