Try the earlier, black vinyl reissue. I sold my original in favour of it.

I missed the reissue of Billion Dollar Babies on vinyl, and is now oop. Is there any chance of a reissue in the future? I find it odd his most well known album is unavailable, while lesser albums are available in abundance.

I have to admit that I kept the Friday Music pressing of Killer because it just sounds GREAT

I recently bought a sealed copy of the Chris Bellman cut from a forum member here for $110.00. The album of course, has never sounded better.

    Done with Alice for now.

Love It To Death - 2017 / Ian Sefchick
    Killer - 2012 / Chris Bellman
    School's Out - 1973 / Shelly Yakus
Billion Dollar Babies - 2016 / Chris Bellman

    Nevermind.

The copy of Killer I kept is the WB Chris Bellman. I'm actually a fan of colored vinyl, but I did the shootout however many years back and kept this one because it was obviously better. YMMV.

Don’t forget The Alice Cooper Show as well for the reissue treatment.

I bought a sealed Bellman cut of B$B last year for £40, which is a lot to spend on a record in my books but I love this album and it was worth it to upgrade the somewhat battered original I had.

I think I spent about $70 USD for my copy a couple of years ago. Not free! But I enjoy it and it sounds great.

Has this album ever been reissued on vinyl? All I’ve seen is the CD.

So do you think the Bellman Killer and Billion Dollar Babies trounce Our Host's revered Audio Fidelity versions?

I have not heard the AF pressings, but the Bellman cuts don't leave anything to be desired, IMO.

Thank you bloodlemons. No one can do a comparison here? I have low numbered Audio Fidelity versions of Steve's mastering and just want to make sure the price difference is worth it before I take the plunge. I have trouble picturing a better sound than Steve's versions. I have a line on the Alice Cooper pair of Bellmans for $100 total.

It might come down to if you want vinyl LPs or you want CDs and SACDs of the albums. Steve did not do vinyl afaik.

Don't care what format. I just want the best sound. If that happened to be a flac file, fine. :righton:

What's the consensus on the Rocktober black/white reissue of Love It To Death?

Very good IMO. I have an excellent 1971 pressing (not straight but first press warner with the cropped cover). The Rocktober white and black vinyl sounds a tad better on my system. I can’t tell you the best version but this is a very good one.
My recommendation is to buy this Rocktober copy. It didn’t sell out fast but I think it is slowly marinating. I wouldn’t be surprised if it slowly grows in value over time.
