The debate above of whether Rodeo belongs to the GGG sessions or DF’s made me thinking how much I enjoyed the fact that every Motley album would bring a whole new sound. If I were to describe the sound of guitars on each Motley album, I’d say: TFFL: Raw SOTD: Metalic TOP: Thick GGG: Thin but bluesy. DF: Huge DOD: Dirty MC94: HEAVY GS: Modern (at the time) + Industrial NT: Retro. How about you?
yes . they are also on a cd single together btw on the swine mix does anyone else hear a john corabi vocal at around 2:20? is that him screaming "insane"?
so we are coming up on the bands 40th anniversary in the not to distant future. will they do anything for it?
I know with exclusive new artwork you think we'll get an awesome 40th anniversary release of too fast for love?
They'll just repackage the remaster from 1997 with the bonus tracks, add in a leather belt, and call it a "box set".
probably. I'm thinking they will just do some greatest hits release for the 40th with maybe 2 new tracks
I'd rather personality #9 get released soon. I don't care what the band says someone with the band has a copy of this. I saw a full list of the supposedly completed tracks before vince came back and john actually was still helping the band finish the album and teaching vince the melodies for the songs in his range. here is a list of the tunes that were supposedly completed with john before vince came back 1. Wrote my name in blood 2. The more you talk (The more i hate you) 3. I die to watch us live (You live to watch us die) 4. La dolca vita 5. Star****er 6. Take me in your wings 7. The year I lived a day 8. She's beauty -released on generation swine as "beauty" 9. I gotta find myself-released on generation swine as "find myself" 10. Afraid of this-released on generation swine as "afraid" 11. 57 12. Falling up 13. We belong 14. Black box 15. Melody 16. Sing 17. Backwash 18. The dog 19. The xmas song 20. Kiss the sky-released as a bonus track on remastered generation swine 21. Wreck me-released as a bonus track on remastered generation swine 22. Flush-used on generation swine 23. Let us prey-used on generation swine 24. Punk 57 -released on generation swine as " anybody out there?" 25. Wildchild (Birds) 26. Bang -released on generation swine as "glitter" 27. Rollercoaster 28. She's gettin' closer 29. Say Goodbye-demo floats around. part of the music later used for the song "enslaved"
if they just do another hits release I hope the pick 40 songs and make things a bit interesting. I highlighted some "interesting things" or harder to get things on this 40 track set I'd pay for 1 live wire (leathur mix) 2 piece of your action (leathur mix) 3 too fast for love (leathur mix) 4 nobody knows what its like to be lonely 5 run for your life 6 runnin wild in the night 7 looks that kill 8 too young to fall in love 9 shout at the devil 10 home sweet home 11 smokin in the boys room 12 wild side 13 girls, girls, girls 14 all in the name of 15 you’re all I need 16 rock n roll junkie 17 dr feelgood 18 without you 19 same ol situation 20 kickstart my heart 21 don’t go away mad (single edit) 22 primal scream 23 hooligans holiday (derelict version) 24 misunderstood (guitar solo/scream version) 25 babykills 26 10,000 miles away 27 afraid 28 glitter (remix) 29 bitter pill (single edit) 30 new tattoo (single version) 31 hell on high heels 32 american zero 33 timebomb 32 if I die tomorrow ( whichever of the single mixes is different from the album version) 33 saints of los angeles (single version) 34 MFer of the year 35 sex 36 all bad things must end 37 the dirt 38 new song 39 new song 40 new song
I like the idea of using single mixes/edits and having them all compiled onto one set. Remember there is a remix of "Too Young To Fall In Love", and "Home Sweet Home" on Raw Tracks. The HSH remix has a more prominent keyboard throughout.
yeah I did pick some single edits/mixes that are harder to get. the "too young to fall in love" remix is on the red, white and crue set but no one really seems to know what the difference is lol
someone said something about like an extra drum hit at the start or something. I'd give anything to have those 3 early tunes I named on cd and "American zero"
One thing I noticed is that the harmony background vocals are up higher in the remix of TYTFIL. Also, the chords that underly Mick's riffs are louder and ring out more.
