I just rewatched the director’s cut (“untitled”/“bootleg”) for the 299th time. So good. If you’ve only watched the theatrical cut, check out the definitive director’s cut.

I’ve heard a rumor about a 20th Anniversary 4K release for the holidays. Hoping...

Liked the shot of Ozium in the opening. Also the Blodwyn Pig clip.

One of cinemas best movies, in its longer version. Hopefully they get the rights to bring the deleted “Stairway to heaven”- scene with the original music by Led Zeppelin, for 4K.

It has been a long time since I've seen the theatrical cut so I don't know exactly what was not in it compared to Untitled. As opposed to the director's cut of That Thing You Do, I don't think it's a significantly different movie, it's just more love of the atmosphere and characters. The pacing is better and less rushed.

That is not a good scene for a film. I'm glad that it was cut or made impossible because of the music rights.

Love this movie. It does a good job of capturing what "life on the road" is like. Terrific performances, great dialog and music. What's not to like? ;)

Played it last month. 5 hours of the movie and then Cameron/Mother commentary track on the same day. Just checked, she passed in 2019. Original songs written by Frampton, Nancy Wilson from Heart and CroWe.

Zooey Deschanel, though it took me a second to recognize her. The underage groupie(13-16)thing in 1970's LA has to viewed with rose colour 2020 glasses, that's for sure.

I agree that the pacing is better, and while it is not a "different" movie, I think it has a darker and more mature tone.

Untitled is, I think, the better movie and the way to go.

I remember going to see the movie in its original theatrical run, and having the wind knocked out of me in "the bag of records" scene. How did they get into my bedroom in 1973?

Great film, unfortunately it will always remind me of a really bad time in my life... watched it with a GF the same weekend she broke up with me.

As much as I love the theatrical cut, as soon as I finished the director's cut for the first time, it became and remains to this day the definitive version for me.

That scene moves me every time I watch it. And The Wind was the perfect song choice.
