I've loved reading this thread for some time, I thought I might throw in my own alternate setup.

One thing that's bugged me about the official Monkees albums are how bleak most of the covers are, or at the very least very desaturated, which is annoying representaion when you consider how overly colourful the show is. When it comes to the albums themselves though, I enjoy them immensely, but, I can't help but think there are some better segues that could be going on. Now I've complied the following versions and covers on my iTunes and listen to them from beginning to end. (Mix names come from the monkeesmixography site.)

Here's the result of that irritation:

    THE MONKEES (mono)

    Side 1
(Theme From) The Monkees (1966 mono LP mix)
(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone (1966 mono LP mix)
Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day (1966 mono LP mix)
This Just Doesn't Seem To Be My Day (1966 mono LP mix)
Saturday's Child (1966 mono LP mix)
Let's Dance On (1966 mono LP mix)
I'll Be True To You (1966 mono LP mix)

    Side 2
Last Train To Clarksville (1966 mono LP/45 mix)
I Wanna Be Free (1966 mono LP mix)
The Kind Of Girl I Could Love (1966 mono LP mix)
Sweet Young Thing (1966 mono LP mix)
Papa Gene's Blues (1966 mono LP mix)
Take A Giant Step (1966 mono LP/45 mix)
Gonna Buy Me A Dog (1966 mono LP mix)

Pretty much the same bar the inclusion of early episode hits Steppin' Stone and The Kind Of Girl I Could Love.

    MORE OF THE MONKEES (mono)

    Side 1
    I'm A Believer (1966 mono LP/45 mix)
I Don't Think You Know Me (1966 mono mix)
Mary, Mary (1966 mono LP mix)
    Of You (1966 mono mix)
    She (1966 mono LP mix)
Sometime In The Morning (1966 mono LP mix)
Your Auntie Grizelda (1966 alternate mono mix)

    Side 2
A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You (1967 mono 45 mix)
Hold On Girl (1966 mono LP mix)
I Won't Be The Same Without Her (1966 mono LP mix)
Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow) (1966 mono LP mix)
When Love Comes Knockin' (At Your Door) (1966 mono LP mix)
    Laugh (1966 mono LP mix)
The Day We Fall In Love (1966 mono LP mix)

Massive rearrangement, now includes a few unreleased items from the time and A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You.

    HEADQUARTERS (mono)

    Side 1
The Girl I Knew Somewhere (1967 mono 45 mix)
Sunny Girlfriend (1967 mono LP mix)
I Can't Get Her Off My Mind (1967 mono LP mix)
Forget That Girl (1967 mono LP mix)
You Just May Be The One (1967 mono LP mix)
Band 6 (1967 mono LP mix)
You Told Me (1967 mono LP mix)
For Pete's Sake (1967 mono LP mix)

    Side 2
All Of Your Toys (1967 mono mix)
I'll Spend My Life With You (1967 mono LP mix)
No Time (1967 mono LP mix)
Mr. Webster (1967 mono LP mix)
    Zilch (1967 mono LP mix)
Randy Scouse Git (1967 mono LP mix)
Shades Of Gray (1967 mono LP mix)
Early Morning Blues and Greens (1967 mono LP mix)

Cover cleaned up and centered slightly, tracks re-sequenced.

MICKY, DAVY, MICHAEL & PETER (mono)

    Side 1
Special Announcement (1967 mono LP mix)
She Hangs Out (1967 mono LP mix)
    Salesman (1967 alternate mono mix)
    Words (1967 mono LP/45 mix)
Cuddly Toy (1967 mono mix with unedited outro)
Don't Call On Me (1967 mono LP mix)
Goin' Down (1967 mono alternate mix 1

    Side 2
The Door Into Summer (1967 mono LP mix)
Hard To Believe (1967 mono LP mix)
What Am I Doing Hangin' 'Round? (1967 mono LP mix)
Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky (1967 mono LP mix)
Pleasant Valley Sunday (1967 mono LP/45 mix)
Daily Nightly (1967 mono LP mix)
Star Collector (1967 mono LP mix)

Pretty much Pisces with a moodier cover to better reflect the sound. I look at that while listening to something like Daily Nightly, now it fits.

    WE’LL BE RIGHT BACK (mono)

    Side 1
Through The Looking Glass (1969 mono mix 2) (fuzz guitar)
Don't Listen To Linda (1968 mono mix)
Love Is Only Sleeping (1967 mono LP mix)
Tapioca Tundra (1967 mono LP/45 mix)
Magnolia Simms (1968 mono LP mix)
    D.W. Washburn (1968 mono 45 mix)

    Side 2

It's Nice To Be With You (1968 mono 45 mix)

Good Clean Fun (1968 mono mix)
    Lady's Baby (1968 mono mix 2
    The Party (1968 mono mix)

Sort of Odds and Ends items, just anything from the time that's mono only.

    HEAD (stereo)

    Side 1
Porpoise Song (Theme From “HEAD”) (1991 stereo mix)
    Ditty Diego (2001 stereo mix)
Circle Sky (Live) (1989 stereo mix)
Daddy's Song (1968 stereo LP mix / Davy vocal)
Can You Dig It (1968 stereo LP mix / Micky vocal)
As We Go Along (1968 stereo LP mix)
Long Title: Do I Have To Do This All Over Again (1968 stereo LP mix)

    Side 2
Valleri (1968 stereo LP mix with no fade)
Zor And Zam (1991 stereo mix)
I'll Be Back Upon My Feet (1968 stereo LP mix)
The Poster (1968 stereo LP mix)
    P.O. Box 9847 (1968 stereo LP mix)
Dream World (1968 stereo LP mix)
Swami – Plus Strings (1968 stereo LP mix)

Now with a more Magical Mystery Tour style lineup. The original album is so short you could keep all the dialogue segments (sans Swami) in and it runs to about the maximum 22-24 minutes a side can take. Thrown in some stereo-only Birds & Bees tracks and Swami on side two and this is a record I'd gladly own and play over and over. If only I got around to making some back covers. ;P

    INSTANT REPLAY (stereo)

    Side 1
Shorty Blackwell (1969 stereo LP mix)
    A Man Without A Dream (1969 stereo LP/45 mix)
Apples, Peaches, Bananas And Pears (1969 stereo mix)
The Girl I Left Behind Me (1969 stereo LP mix)
Me Without You (1969 stereo LP mix)
Just A Game (1969 stereo LP mix)

    Side 2
Someday Man (1969 stereo 45 mix)
Carlisle Wheeling (1969 stereo mix 2)
You And I (1969 stereo LP mix)
Tear Drop City (1969 alternate stereo mix)
Nine Times Blue (1969 stereo mix 1)
We Were Made For Each Other (1968 stereo LP mix)
Mommy And Daddy (revised) (1969 stereo LP/45 mix)

A little odd I moved the only Peter content on the album to the second album yet put his face in there. My reasoning is: it's a nice photo, it's symmetrical, shut up. Anyway, these are just early 1969 stereo mixes in what I think is a more seamless track order, plus We Were Made For Each Other which I couldn't fit anywhere else. Auntie's Municipal Court has gone MIA.

PRESENT DOLENZ, JONES & NESMITH (stereo)

    Side Nesmith
Listen To The Band (1969 edited stereo 45 mix)
Down The Highway (1969 stereo mix)
Oklahoma Backroom Dancer (1969 stereo LP mix)
Never Tell A Woman Yes (1969 stereo LP mix)
St. Matthew (1969 stereo mix 1)

    Side Jones
Ladies Aid Society (1969 stereo LP mix)
My Storybook Of You (1969 stereo mix)
Time And Time Again (1969 stereo mix)
If I Knew (1969 stereo LP mix)
French Song (1969 stereo LP mix w/ extended ending)

    Side Dolenz
Little Girl (1969 stereo LP mix)
    Steam Engine (1969 stereo mix)
Kicking Stones (Teeny Tiny Gnome) (1969 stereo mix)
Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye (1969 stereo LP mix)
Mommy And Daddy (uncensored) (1969 stereo alternate mix 1)

    Side More
If You Have The Time (1969 stereo mix 2)
    Rosemarie (1969 stereo mix)
    Circle Sky (1969 stereo mix)
Looking For The Good Times (1969 stereo LP mix)
Pillow Time (1969 stereo LP mix)

A double concept album and in colour as intended. I sampled colours from that unused inner sleeve to try and make it feel about right. I really like the segues here.

    CHANGES (stereo)

    Side 1
Oh My My (1970 stereo LP/45 mix)
Ticket On A Ferry Ride (1970 stereo LP mix)
You're So Good To Me (1970 stereo LP mix)
It's Got To Be Love (1970 stereo LP mix)
Acapulco Sun (1970 stereo LP mix)
99 Pounds (1970 stereo LP mix)

    Side 2

Tell Me Love (1970 stereo LP mix)
Do You Feel It Too? (1970 stereo LP mix)
I Love You Better (1970 stereo LP/45 mix)
All Alone In The Dark (1970 stereo LP mix)
I Never Thought It Peculiar (1970 stereo LP mix)
Midnight Train (1970 stereo LP mix)

Not much to do with this one, no Mike songs, but I love that photo too much not to use it. Simply put 1969's Midnight Train as the closer cause, frankly, that song is made for it. Fast paced, upbeat, and ends leaving you wanting more. Better than ending with an overdubbed longing for and from 1966. I love both songs though, it's just one closes better than the other.

That new Present cover is awesome with the colors. I just, surprisingly, found out last week or so that Neko Chohlis was actually nominated for a Grammy Award for his original cover on that album.

Thanks! It's no surprise to me, in black and white it's still a pretty cool cover.
Still, shame on Colgems for being so cheap at the time.

Not enough strong material from that time IMO. I also go up to seven (or eight in Headquarters case) per side, but the reason for those are mostly short filler tracks like Ziltch and Alvin listed seperately. Cute stuff but from a glance makes it look longer than it is.

I could take a few out of my Present sequence and make a stronger single album, but I like the idea of the Monkees getting at least one double album during the original run.

So just for the heck of it, I created a YouTube playlist featuring my current preferred listening order for "Good Times."

As with my first attempt, I ordered the 13 tracks so that Micky's songs are more well-balanced with the other guys'. This time, I even shuffled "Terrifying" into the main playlist, as well as Davy's final recorded song, "Written in My Heart," as it seemed rather fitting in its own way. "I Know What I Know" and the new "Love to Love" are included among the five bonus tracks at the end.

I hope people get a kick out of listening to it. Maybe this will start a trend of us sharing each others' fantasy album playlists with each other via YouTube. :)

Here are the four that are a little more than resquencing and include an edit here or there:

...and as a bonus for being late, Mommy And Daddy (version 1), in which the opening of the IR mono mix is stitched onto the front of the unused stereo mix, folded down to mono, at original speed: Mommy And Daddy (Version 1) [mono edit].m4a »

Hey there! Here's another idea I had for re-ordering Good Times: Sorting it in chronological order, or at least, the order in which some version of the song(s) existed. That way, the album becomes an actual journey through 50 years of Monkees music.

    On this metaphorical LP, here's:

    Side 1: The Classics

    1. Whatever's Right ('66)
    2. Love to Love ('67)
    3. Gotta Give it Time ('67)
    4. Good Times ('68)
    5. Wasn't Born to Follow ('68)
    6. Little Girl (Peter sang this in concert in '77, so it's existed that long.)
    7. I Know What I Know (Mike recorded a solo version in '12.)

Side 2: The New Songs (Just in the order they appeared on the album after removing the others.)

    8. You Bring the Summer
    9. She Makes Me Laugh
    10. Our Own World
    11. Me & Magdalena
    12. Birth of an Accidental Hipster
    13. I Was There (and I'm Told I Had a Good Time)

And here's the YouTube playlist for it!

    I like it.

Side 2 I'd do this though:

    8. She Makes Me Laugh
    9. Me & Magdalena
    10. Our Own World
    11. Accidental Hipster
    12. You Bring The Summer
    13. I was There ...

I think my lists are very well thought out and honestly make the albums sound so much better.

    THE MONKEES
    1. (Theme From) The Monkees
    2. Saturday's Child
    3. I Wanna Be Free (Fast Version)
    4. Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day
    5. Papa Gene's Blues
    6. Take A Giant Step
    7. Last Train To Clarksville
    8. This Just Doesn't Seem To Be My Day
    9. Kind Of Girl I Could Love
    10. Let's Dance On
    11. All The King's Horses
    12. Gonna Buy Me A Dog

Not a lot of a change, but mainly switching Sweet Young Thing for Kind Of Girl I Could Love since Kind Of Girl was recorded first and replacing I'll Be True To You with All The King's Horses since I'll Be True To You is a rather weak song

    MORE OF THE MONKEES
    1. She
    2. When Love Comes Knockin'
    3. Mary, Mary
    4. I Won't Be The Same Without Her
    5. Your Auntie Grizelda
    6. Steppin' Stone
    7. Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow)
    8. Sometime In The Morning
    9. Laugh
    10. Sweet Young Thing
    11. I'm A Believer
    12. I Prithee (Micky's Vocal)

This album saw a lot of change, mainly replacing the two weaker Davy songs with I Won't Be The Same Without Her and I Prithee

    HEADQUARTERS
    1. You Told Me
    2. I'll Spend My Life With You
    3. Forget That Girl
    4. Band 6/You Just May Be The One
    5. Shades Of Gray
    6. I Can't Get Her Off Of My Mind
    7. Randy Scouse Git
    8. All Of Your Toys
    9. Mr. Webster
    10. The Girl I Knew Somewhere (Micky's Vocal)
    11. Sunny Girlfriend
    12. Zilch/No Time
    13. Early Morning Blues And Greens
    14. For Pete's Sake

This album just added two songs, combined Zilch and Band 6 with the song after them and switched For Pete's Sake and Randy Scouse Git since For Pete's Sake closed the TV show, it makes sense to have it end the album

    PISCES
    1. Salesman
    2. She Hangs Out
    3. The Door Into Summer
    4. Cuddly Toy
    5. Words

    9. Love Is Only Sleeping
    10. Peter Percival/Pleasant Valley Sunday
    11. Daily Nightly
    12. Don't Call On Me
    13. Star Collector

This album took out Hard To Believe and added Goin' Down and Daydream Believer

    The Birds, The Bees
    1. Dream World
    2. Auntie Municipal Court
    3. Carlisle Wheeling (First Recorded Version)
    4. Tapioca Tundra
    5. P.O. Box 9847
    6. Valleri
    7. My Share Of The Sidewalk (Davy's Vocal)
    8. Come On In
    9. Ceiling In My Room
    10. Writing Wrongs
    11. Zor And Zam (Album Version)
    12. The Girl I Left Behind Me/Girl Named Love

This album saw so much change, but the main thing is it added a Peter song which was missing from the real release.

    Head
    1. Porpoise Song
    2. Ditty Diego
    3. Circle Sky
    4. Can You Dig It
    5. As We Go Along
    6. Daddy's Song
    7. Long Title

    12. War Games (Fast Version)
    13. Tear The Top Right Off My Head (Micky's Vocal)
    14. St. Matthew (Instant Replay 1994 Mix)

This is the one that takes the great songs found on Head and put it on one side and Side B is filled with songs recorded around Birds, The Bees and Head

    Instant Replay (With Peter)
    1. Through The Looking Glass (1969 Stereo Mix)
    2. Good Clean Fun
    3. Don't Listen To Linda
    4. Just A Game
    5. Propinquity
    6. Me Without You
    7. Rosemarie (Missing Links Version)
    8. Lady's Baby (Missing Links Version)
    9. You And I
    10. Don't Wait For Me
    11. Teardrop City
    12. Smile
    13. While I Cry/Seeger's Theme
    14. Shorty Blackwell

This one included 2 Peter tracks, Lady's Baby and to end While I Cry with Seeger's Theme

Present (With Peter/Double Album, But Not Organized By Who Sings)
    1. Opening Night
    2. Little Girl
    3. If I Knew
    4. Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye
    5. Little Red Rider
    6. Looking For The Good Times
    7. If You Have The Time
    8. Steam Engine
    9. You're So Good
    10. Ladies Aid Society
    11. Don't Say Nothin' Bad (About My Baby)

    15. Midnight Train
    16. Hold On Girl (Slow Version from Missing Links 2)

    17. Apples, Peaches, Bananas, And Pears
    18. Kicking Stones
    19. Penny Music
    20. So Goes Love
    21. My Storybook Of You
    22. Magnolia Simms (Clean Without Effects)
    23. Merry Go Round (Third Version On Birds, The Bees Deluxe)
    24. Time And Time Again
    25. Down The Highway
    26. A Man Without A Dream
    27. Someday Man
    28. Mommy And Daddy (Original Lyrics)
    29. I Never Thought It Peculiar (No Overdubs)
    30. Pillow Time
    31. Listen To The Band (No Horns)
    32. Of You

This took a bunch of new songs mixed with a bunch of old songs done from 1966 and Don't Say Nothin' Bad and Magnolia Simms done in 1967 and 1968. But I think this is the final attempt to get the Monkees to have their old sound, and they should've released many older stuff to try and bring in the old audience and to bring in a newer audience like they did the older ones originally with the same songs

    Changes (With Mike, Without Peter)
    1. Oh My My
    2. A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You
    3. If I Ever Get To Saginaw Again
    4. 99 Pounds
    5. If I Learned To Play The Violin
    6. I Love You Better

    8. Changes
    9. I Didn't Know You Had It In You Sally
    10. Love To Love
    11. You Can't Tie A Mustang Down
    12. Angel Band
    13. She'll Be There (Demo From Headquarters)
    14. How Can I Tell You

This album will include my 4 favorites from Changes along with some Mike tracks and some tracks done back in the early 1967 Jeff Barry sessions which had A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You in it, so why not put it in there. It also included She'll Be There from Headquarters, the title track Changes from 1968 and How Can I Tell You from 1969.

Hope you guys like my albums, I have been working on these for awhile and I'm proud to say that I think they're fully done to my liking.

I'm still holding out hope for a CD release of the Nesmith "Nashville Sessions"

But, I'm not holding my breath.

I made a new set of possible albums, this time it adds an album in between More of The Monkees and Headquarters and also combines Instant Replay and Present together. I also put the singles and I put the songs as when they were featured in the TV show, but in my world on the episode Monkees At The Movies, When Love Comes Knockin' is still the song used for it.

I Wanna Be Free (Fast Version)/Let's Dance On (8/66)
Last Train To Clarksville/Take A Giant Step (9/66)

    The Monkees (Debut Album) (10/66)
    1. (Theme From) The Monkees
    2. Saturday's Child
    3. I Wanna Be Free (Fast Version)
    4. Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day
    5. Papa Gene's Blues
    6. Take A Giant Step
    7. Last Train To Clarksville
    8. This Just Doesn't Seem To Be My Day
    9. Steppin' Stone
    10. Kind Of Girl I Could Love
    11. Let's Dance On
    12. All The King's Horses

    Valleri/Mary, Mary (11/66)
    I'm A Believer/Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow) (11/66)

    More of the Monkees (1/67)
    1. She
    2. When Love Comes Knockin'
    3. Mary, Mary
    4. Your Auntie Grizelda
    5. Sometime In The Morning
    6. Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow)
    7. Valleri
    8. I'll Be Back Upon My Feet
    9. Sweet Young Thing
    10. Laugh
    11. Gonna Buy Me A Dog
    12. I'm A Believer

This album sees a lot of change as it takes out all songs not found in the TV show and replaces them with almost every song from the show minus Words (TV Version) and You Just May Be The One (TV Version)

A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You/99 Pounds (3/67)

    After These Messages (3/67)
    1. Apples, Peaches, Bananas, And Pears
    2. A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You
    3. I Won't Be The Same Without Her
    4. 99 Pounds
    5. Looking For The Good Times
    6. So Goes Love
    7. Kicking Stones
    8. I'll Be True To You
    9. I Don't Think You Know Me (Peter's Vocal)
    10. Of You
    11. Hold On Girl (Boyce/Hart Version)
    12. I Prithee (Micky's Vocal)

This is an album that includes all songs not featured in the show which is why the title is called After These Messages. This would instead be the reason for Don Kirshiner's firing and not More of the Monkees as the track listing is more to the taste of all the Monkees.

The Girl I Knew Somewhere (Micky's Vocal)/All Of Your Toys (4/67)
Randy Scouse Git/Forget That Girl (5/67)

    Headquarters (6/67)
    1. You Told Me
    2. I'll Spend My Life With You
    3. Forget That Girl
    4. Band 6/You Just May Be The One
    5. Shades Of Gray
    6. I Can't Get Her Off Of My Mind
    7. Randy Scouse Git
    8. All Of Your Toys
    9. Mr. Webster
    10. The Girl I Knew Somewhere (Micky's Vocal)
    11. Sunny Girlfriend
    12. Zilch/No Time
    13. Early Morning Blues And Greens
    14. For Pete's Sake

This album is still in tack as how I liked it since Headquarters is my favorite album by the Monkees

    Pleasant Valley Sunday/Words (8/67)
Love Is Only Sleeping/Cuddly Toy (9/67)
    Daydream Believer/Goin' Down (11/67)

    Pisces (12/67)
    1. Salesman
    2. She Hangs Out
    3. The Door Into Summer
    4. Cuddly Toy
    5. Words
    6. Daydream Believer
    7. Goin' Down
    8. Hard To Believe
    9. Hangin' Round
    10. Love Is Only Sleeping
    11. Peter Percival/Pleasant Valley Sunday
    12. Daily Nightly
    13. Don't Call On Me
    14. Star Collector

This one is still in tack as how I liked it besides adding Hard To Believe to side 2

    Tapioca Tundra/Dream World (3/68)

    The Birds, The Bees (5/68)
    1. Dream World
    2. Auntie Municipal Court
    3. Carlisle Wheeling (Version 1)
    4. Tapioca Tundra
    5. P.O. Box 9847
    6. Writing Wrongs
    7. My Share Of The Sidewalk (Davy's Vocal)
    8. Come On In
    9. Ceiling In My Room
    10. Zor And Zam
    11. Through The Looking Glass (1968 Stereo Mix)
    12. The Girl I Left Behind Me (1967 Mix)

This is almost the same as before, but puts Through The Looking Glass on the album

Circle Sky (Studio)/It's Nice To Be With You (7/68)
Porpoise Song/As We Go Along (11/68)

    Head (12/68)
    1. Opening Ceremony/Porpoise Song
    2. Ditty Diego/Circle Sky (Live)
    3. Can You Dig It
    4. As We Go Along
    5. Dandruff/Daddy's Song
    6. Happy Birthday/Long Title
    7. Closing Ceremony/Strings
    8. The Poster
    9. Circle Sky (Studio)
    10. It's Nice To Be With You
    11. War Games (Fast Version)
    12. Nine Times Blue (ML Version)
    13. Tear The Top Right Off Of My Head (Micky's Vocal)
    14. St. Matthew

This saw not so much change from my last post, but it did put more sounds from the movie than before and had both Circle Sky's on there

    You And I/While I Cry (1/69)
Teardrop City/Don't Wait For Me (3/69)

    Instant Replay (4/69) (With Peter)
    1. Teardrop City
    2. Don't Listen To Linda
    3. I've Just Begun To Care
    4. Me Without You
    5. Just A Game
    6. Don't Wait For Me
    7. Lady's Baby (ML Version)
    8. You And I
    9. A Man Without A Dream
    10. Mommy And Daddy (Uncensored)
    11. While I Cry/Seeger's Theme
    12. Shorty Blackwell (Shorter Cut)

This album changed a lot from my last post as the track listing went from 14 to 12. And Shorty Blackwell fades out at around 3:15 mark because the song just drags on for so long.

Listen To The Band/Someday Man (5/69)
    Good Clean Fun/Rosemarie (1969 Mix) (9/69)

    Present (10/69) (With Peter)
    1. Opening Night
    2. Little Girl
    3. Good Clean Fun
    4. If I Knew
    5. Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye
    6. French Song
    7. Someday Man
    8. Merry Go Round (Birds, The Bees Deluxe Stereo Mix)
    9. Rosemarie (1969 Mix)
    10. Oklahoma Backroom Dancer
    11. Pillow Time
    12. Listen To The Band (No horn mix)

This took my double album idea and cut it down to 1 12 track album, but the next album could be considered a part 2 to this album and could be a double album, but I feel they're better as separate albums

Steam Engine/If You Have The Time (12/69)
    Changes/Midnight Train (2/70)

    Changes (3/70) (With Mike)
    1. If You Have The Time
    2. Little Red Rider
    3. You're So Good
    4. Penny Music
    5. Steam Engine
    6. Magnolia Simms (No Tape Effects)
    7. Changes
    8. Down The Highway
    9. Don't Say Nothin' Bad
    10. My Storybook Of You
    11. Midnight Train
    12. Time And Time Again

This took all the songs originally on Changes in real life and pushed them to the next and final album. This album puts songs from 1968 and 1969 into a home

    Love To Love/You Can't Tie A Mustang Down (4/70)
Oh My My/I Love You Better (6/70)

Don't Be Sad Because It Ended, Smile Because It Happened (7/70)
    1. Oh My My
    2. If I Ever Get To Saginaw Again
    3. Ticket On A Ferry Ride
    4. If I Learned To Play The Violin
    5. I Love You Better
    6. Do You Feel It Too?
    7. All Alone In The Dark
    8. Ladies Aid Society
    9. I Didn't Know You Had It In You Sally
    10. Love To Love
    11. You Can't Tie A Mustang Down
    12. Angel Band
    13. Smile
    14. She'll Be There
    15. I Never Thought It Peculiar (No Overdubs)
    16. How Can I Tell You

This album is the farewell album, which is why it has 16 songs on it. It makes sense to go out with a bang, but also makes sense to put a song from every single part of the Monkees career. Ladies Aid Society and I Never Thought It Peculiar are all from the 1966 portion, If I Learned To Play The Violin, I Didn't Know You Had It In You Sally, Love To Love, You Cant Tie A Mustang Down, and She'll Be There represent 1967. Smile and If I Ever Get To Saginaw Again represent 1968. How Can I Tell You represents 1969, and Oh My My, Ticket On A Ferry Ride, I Love You Better, Do You Feel It Too?, and All Alone In The Dark represent 1970.

These albums took many days of thinking and if there's any questions or possible changes to be made to the albums, please post a reply to this post :)

I've done some revising to my lineup. First things first, I realized I don't listen to the Changes album much, bar those last two 1969 songs. So I've ripped those out and chucked the rest. A few other songs have been dropped as well, others added. New listings are as follows:
