I did not say subjectively (or objectively) to the masses.
I said imho to me, to bring more enjoyment to me.
I am at the point where the curve slope has maxed at 0.0. Be happy for me! :) Or at least not cynical. It would be a dreary world where one is never satisfied.

I need to disclose this: I am a crazy mofo, not right in the noodle. Ask my wife.
Jumped out of aircraft and helo-cast
    Climbed 5000 m peaks
    Pissed into the wind
    Talked back to my wife

    but I have limits:
Ketchup on hotdogs for example , my dad told me only Texans and mental patients do that.

If you split the hot dogs down the middle (length wise) and lay them on sandwich bread, then it is OK to use ketchup.

You of all people should know better!

But in Chicago, where “The Bear” is based and hot dogs are legendary, the idea of putting ketchup on a hot dog can be controversial.

The classic Chicago hot dog has mustard, neon-green relish, raw onions, a full pickle spear, tomatoes, a little bit of celery salt and a poppy seed bun; sport peppers are optional. Historians link the Chicago version to the Depression, when people could get a full meal from a hot dog and toppings.

But don’t even consider putting ketchup on it, at least according to certain Chicagoans. Even President Barack Obama, a longtime Chicago resident, said several years ago on CNN that “it’s not acceptable past the age of 8.”

Some Chicagoland hot dog stands pride themselves on not serving ketchup, such as Gene and Jude’s in River Grove, just outside the city.

    We've covered a wide spectrum:

I'm wrong, right, smug, who cares what I think
    Cars
    Bikes, human and gas powered
    Fences
I think we snuck a dog in too?

I know, too much and very off topic.

I don't think Ingenieur is BS'ing himself at all though. I'm sure is system sounds incredible and it looks like this thread really came about to encourage him to get that Luxman TT, and it's looking like he's gonna take the plunge...

I went to this thread and watched the Steve Gutenberg video and then posted in that thread ( Are audiophiles BS-ing themselves about sound ? ).

I think that many participants in this thread have very good systems. I also think I have a very good system ( see my profile ). I truly enjoy listening to music on it. I think that is the most important thing. I my decide to upgrade it in some way ( I'm old, so I do not imagine a full system upgrade ) or I may not. As I said in the other thread " This is a hobby, it should be fun".

"There is a slight downside, now I can't research and buy other stuff! "

That should never stop. Have you tried Class D yet? Like a well done Class D amplifier? Even a little use Red Wine Audio amplifier can open many eyes of Class A folks.

It definitely happens my friend put together an entire Shino system, except sources, including the biggest field coil speakers they make. Bought a house in the country cause his speakers were too big for his city apartment, which caused his wife to divorce him. Had the system out there for a couple years then sold the whole thing to fund opening a restaurant. Priorities change, well some peoples do, not mine or yours obviously.

Although there is some truth to that, I don't work as often as I would like.
Winter is a very slow season for outdoor painting, that guy Ches in the first picture is 71 years old and he's been sign painting since the early seventies, his son owns a company that I contract with and I've done a lot of work with him.
In the winter though he goes across the country painting huge logos on top of roofs (mostly near airports and mostly in the warmer states).
I painted 2 50'x50' horseshoes on top of the hanger building for the Indianapolis Colts last summer (very hot work) which was a huge PITA and Ches didn't really spend much time on that one.
When they got the bill from me after that yellow building got done (it took two months) I think they had sticker shock as far as me making money for them, they still hire me just in a more selective way.
It's a good thing I have another pal in the business and I get some work from him.

I sat my audio virgin brother in law in the sweet spot of a sweet system I had years ago ( Focals) and he looked up and said…… I figured it would have more bass. Never mind the Great midrange and imaging to die for:) I connected a sub and blew his hair back but explained , or tried to explain the goals.
Some folks only got exposure to “ nice stereos” in high school or early twenties when super bass was all the rage. Bass so deep make your grandma freak.

After using 2 subs if I only wanted to spend x dollars I'd get 2 at x/2 rather than 1 at x.
Obviously depends on the amount and your current speakers.

If full range 1 may be betting it will likely go lower.
If bookshelf/stand 2 may make more sense.

I tried two but I didn’t like it as much as one. May try two again in this new room.
