I find this pretty infuriating - didn't the government make changes a few years ago to stop companies like QANTAS charging OTT credit card transaction fees? I know 0.5% isn't much, but hardly anyone else charges you for using Visa. I suspect that they have a deal with MasterCard and others...

Can anyone make any sense why randomly some items sold by Amazon US or UK don't have Prime shipping? This one wants to charge $14.95 shipping but is "shipped from and sold by Amazon US"... Frustrating...

 

$14.95 is very common of late on excellent deals.

 

Ah...good old governments what can I say!!

 

I suspect that once an item is discounted by a certain % they now charge postage regardless.
