This arrived on Friday. The box set has no external damage, no tears in the shrink wrap or anything.
I opened it up and ALL the jackets and most inner sleeves have tears in them from the shipping. You know the annoying ones on the spines.
Most jackets have tears in two spines. I guess the records are quite loose inside the box, so they could move around in transport. The inner sleeves are poly lined, so imagine how much they shifted inside to rip through three layers.

This is the seventh item from recent orders that has arrived damaged and I'm getting pretty tired of it.
Packing stuff back up and taking to the post office is ok once or twice in a while, but when pretty much every order has to be returned it's getting beyond a joke.

Having said that I'll probably keep this Tim Buckley set, once I play test all the records. Greetings From La sounds great, so if the other s are equally good and have no warping or skipping issues, I can live with the torn spines.

Highly recommended - I had the single black @ 33rpm, which I kept because I can't stand having to switch 3 times on 45rpm sets, BUT, the sound quality on the 45rpm is undeniably better than the 33rpm single vinyl.
Head to head, there was no contest.
The 33rpm is nice, but the 45rpm is another level.

good price, but putting a TV comedy on coloured vinyl seems like excessive marketing to me

There's great line in a Fugazi song that goes something like:

    'It's not what they're selling, it's what you're buying'...

If there is a market for something, it will be so.

agree, but to misquote P.T. Barnum - "Nobody ever lost a dollar by underestimating the taste of of a gullible customer."
