Grateful Dead Workingman's Dead 50th Anniversary deluxe 3xCD AU$35.67 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0882NXWCX/
I'm being picked off big time by other buyers lately. Just waiting for the price to drop that little bit more and bang, someone buys it and the price goes skyward. Or worse, it was the last one left in stock. My fault, need to be less of a tightarse!

Thanks - figured may as well add this to the collection. But no doubt the price will drop further! It's always a gamble with Amazon. But hey...still a great price regardless.
Can you let us know what it's like when you receive it? I'm tempted, but as I have a very nice original pressing, I'm not too keen on paying $90 for two LPs and a book. If the mastering is good, I might bite....
Cool - will do. The reviews have been both positive and neutral...so it's going to be a personal preference thing I think. And of course I have never owned this album - so nothing to compare it to. I figure I usually pay at least $60 - $80 for an Abbey Road 1/2 speed mastered LP, so $90 for 4 discs is reasonable in todays market (which is sad of course haha). And cheaper than the MOFI....and whilst I think the MOFI Dire Straits albums are amazing...some of their releases are nothing to write home about for the price you pay.
I agree with you about MOFI LPs. It's easy to get seduced by the boosted bass and quiet background, but once you put it up against a original, it often falls short.
Especially with The Cars - Heartbeat City. They sucked the life out of it. The original sounds amazing....and I only "upgraded" as my original is not in the best condition. But I will play it over the MOFI just because it sounds so much better (even with some surface noise).
I absolutely love this album but I didn't at first. I wanted Cream II and this is not that at all. Once it bit, I became a Clapton fanatic. I hope you enjoy it.
The Beatles Revolver Double Vinyl Album?? https://www.amazon.com.au/Revolver-BEATLES/dp/B0041KVYIW/ $36.87 Gonna be some disappointed folks I guess or I don't know my Beatles albums...
I think I am still living in 2019/20 when I was buying CDs for $6-8 and LPs for $12-$15 and I'm not prepared to pay $12 for a CD and $25 for an LP - which is a bit silly - because it is still a good deal!
I think there is a lot of hype around MOFI, most of it undeserved on my comparison. Depends what you want. There is a series of these videos already done, and I'm adding more all the time ('Rumours' and 'The Wall' coming up). And now, back to the bargains: Mastodon - Once More Round The Sun 2LP pre-order Amazon US - currently out of stock https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00K0NLJ4S $33.02 Superb album.
I'd be quite happy if you posted your clips here when you've made them. I don't think anyone would object.
Or just follow me on the YouTube link I gave: then you get notified by email anytime a new video pops in, and we don't dirty up the thread?
