I was in amazon.ca late this afternoon.
    Around 5:00 p.m.
I was looking at Bob Dylan vinyl.
All the prices were slashed on most titles.
Some of the vinyl was as a low as 15.00.
Rough and Rowdy Ways was just over 20.00.
I put seven albums in my cart.
    Total price was 122.00.
Being so close to Christmas, I was feeling bad about ordering stuff.
Told my wife about it and she said go for it.
I went back in to order..and..
    My cart is empty !!!
All the prices are back up..
    Never had this happen before..crazy...
I am upset with myself for not pulling the trigger immediately.

Did you check the little box that asks if you want to stay signed in? Sometimes when I don't check it, my cart won't save.

Did any of the items you had in your cart get purchased by someone else?

I just contacted them on a live chat..
I was told this was a “lightning deal”.
    You have to purchase immediately.
If not, your cart is automatically emptied within fifteen minutes.
I have never heard of this before.
I guess, I should have jumped on it ASAP...Who knew !!!
    The deal was phenomenal..

"Lightning", indeed. That's the only thing moving quickly, there.

Pity their shipping is anything but lightning, these days..

I’d have thought they’d have left your cart alone and hope you didn’t notice the increased prices when you checked out.:D

    in hindsight..you are probably right..
    I figured it all out.
Regular prices my total would have been around 230.00
With the “lightning sale” it was 122.00
    I am still kicking myself..

Yeah, with everything that's going on in one of the worst global years in modern history, them ensuring they overnight-ship you that toilet plunger you got for $2 off should really take priority.

Can't play a perverse game of Daleks without a steady supply of good-ol' cheap, foreign-made plungers--

You'll have to settle in the meantime for the traditional ultra-competitive drunken games of Hungry Hungry Hippos.
