American Idol Season/Series 9, 2010 discussion - ***possible spoilers***

Tim was very good the past couple of weeks. He should not have been sent home last night. While his performance Tueday was not his best, it wasn't any worse than Michael or Siobhan or Aaron or Casey. MIchael or Siobhan should have gone last night.

We now have to endure, yet, another week of Siobhan's "over the top" dramatic singing performances. Then when the judges critique the peformance as being too Broadway and such, Siobhan will then waste another 5 minutes of our time trying to explain why the song she chose was so near and dear to her. Oy.

When the judges finish with their observations on Siobhan, Seacrest should go straight to the phone numbers and then to break, and spare us, the viewers.

 

Last night's performances.

Thought both Jeff Beck and Joss Stone were great.

The "Stairway To Heaven" super band could have been a real train wreck. It wasn't. Vocals were good, Randy Jackson laid down a nice bass line. Yes, Steve Vai could have played more, but the song was still all right, IMO.

The Annie Lennox bit was good too.

 

She didn't look to bad either.

Well at least it's singing. C YA Tim.

Both the women had hair makeovers and the dreads were virtually invisible....just as I had predicted.

Aaron should have gone, but Tim was predictable. Here's how I think the next weeks will shake out:

Aaron goes
Then Mike goes
Then Lee goes
Then Casey goes

Final between Crystal and Siobhan. Can't predict which will be the Idol.

What exactly was over the top about Siobhan's performance of "Across the Universe"? Of "Wicked Game"? She doesn't go over the top every week, although I do love it when she does.

 

No worries.

I can't argue with that at all, but am not sure if we could get to an all female final.

 

Works for me.
