Really? I think the album is awesome. But never come across anyone in Nirvana conversation who doesn't have it in some form.

Larger Than Life - Crowbar. An exceptional concert from Massey Hall in 1971, almost a coming out party for 70s Canrock. Marvelous versions of Oh What A Feeling, Edgar Winter's Fly Away (Dr Music and Lighthouse backing) and Tits Up on the Pavement ("Wa-wa On-Tario!"). Highly recommended, and a tip of the hat to Stony Plain for issuing this on CD

Beggar Julia's Time Trip - Ekseption. Loved this one in high school and still give it a listen - some of it has aged badly, but it's a nice piece of prog that seems to have very little profile.

Yes, thanks, I immediately got their entire catalogue. Even though nothing quite matches the "Forever" album IMO, there really isn't a weak one in the bunch, except for "Train Above The City" perhaps.

Another one for the shopping list:

Best album of 2010. Should have charted much higher, methinks. The new one has lots of goodies too. Check out "Farewell American Primitive", very Felt!

After years of disappointments I've given up on trying to turn people on to music. It's a futile endeavor IMO.

I second the Bremner and the rest of his releases. Any love for Paul Thorn?

Excellent if not especially unique 90's-style power pop. The core of this band still exists under the moniker of Hello Dragon - check them out.

I got that back when I was 11 as one of my first few CDs because of their radio hit "A Little Piece Of Heaven". It's too bad they never made another new album. The voices of Kevin Godley and Jimmy Helms blend so well over the harmonica backing. If you also like Jimmy Helms, feel free to check out the final Londonbeat album from 2004 called "Gravity". It's less keyboard-heavy than their material from the peak of their career and has got very good songwriting.
    Another overlooked album.

in the same vein, every wax (graham gouldman/andrew gold) album is excellent.

Same here pretty much. People just want to find music on their own time I guess.

There are some real gems on this album. I had givin up on Billy Joel but his version of Light As A Breeze makes this worth the price. Also, Famous Blue Raincoat by Tori Amos is pure beauty.

I just listened to an absolutely fantastic album, Sun-60's Only, for the first time. Highly recommended if you like 90s alt rock, the male/female musical dynamic or just great songwriting in general.

Bill Rieflin's "Birth of a Giant".

    Rieflin on drums and vocals.
    Robert Fripp on guitars.
    Trey Gunn on bass.
    Chris Connelly on vocals.

Basically a King Crimson ProjeKct...and probably the best one at that!
