Ghost Music, by Bill Brovold (haunting ambient, full-length, physical CD available, released January 20, 2023, New York) Favourite track: I Can Still Hear Nico
@Looking For Today Saw you've posted a couple TUU recently. Thought you might be interested in this classic early 90's compilation with an ethno/tribal flavoring.
Yes I’ve really been enjoying TUU. I bought the 3” Mini CD of theirs called Frozen Lands and I’m waiting for it to arrive! I’m the meantime I’ve been checking out some of their other releases. Thanks so much will check out that comp tonight!
lowercase noises - Matter -- I've probably mentioned this release previously but I played it tonight and think it deserves another heads-up. A collection of EPs, mostly atmospheric guitar. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp. --Geoff
Dreaming in Numbers, by Jason Blake (space ambient / haunting, full-length, physical CD available, released January 27, 2023, Chicago, Illinois) Favourite track: Deception of the Obvious
Andrea Calligaris - Constrained Lives -- a late night listen, described as "a depressing yet hopeful display of ambient works featuring cinematic instrumentation" but has hints of Eno, etc. Noice. US$1 for the lossless download from Bandcamp (or grab a download code here if yer quick). --Geoff
Rafael Anton Irisarri - Sacred Variations -- another late night listen, featuring big washes of sound with ghostly guitar and vocals in the background. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp. --Geoff
Demetrio Cecchitelli - Infinite Gesture (2023, Ambient, experimental) Infinite Gesture, by Demetrio Cecchitelli
C418 - Minecraft - Volume Alpha I just stumbled upon this yesterday on Deezer. And hey, it's on YouTube too.
Any recommendations by musicians primarily using just an acoustic guitar? Sort of along the lines of C. Diab and the way he creates those sounds.
Ambalek - Lull -- Latest release from Seil Records label, this album is a collection of short textural tracks, seemingly made up of many intricate loops. Noice. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp for a limited time. --Geoff
Nabis 1999, by Gerardo Ubieda (experimental ambient electronic, full-length, released February 21, 2023, Miami, Florida) Favourite track: Manu
Been on another 90s ambient binge recently after trying out lots of things in the BC article I posted on here recently. Always loved MLO's "Io" album on Rising High (bought when it came out in 1994), but the recent compilation on Music From Memory, 'Oumuamua' is just STUNNING! Highly recommended. It's bits from throughout their career, some of it previously unreleased, and three tracks in collab with Jonah Sharp/Spacetime Continuum. The whole things flows together incredibly well on digital or (very high quality pressing and packaging) vinyl. Highly recommended! MLO - Oumuamua Oumuamua, by MLO Gregg Hermetech on Instagram: "MLO - Oumuamua 2 x LP ambient compilation on Music From Memory (2022). Super lovely floaty bliss! #MLO #ambient #vinyl #musicfrommemory #jonahsharp #spacetimecontinuum #90sambient #ambientmusic #synths #eno"
Thanks. And here is part 1 of this list if anyone is interested - Revisiting the Sound of ’90s Ambient
