Here's another vote for "Juice" as a terrific song. Until the other night, I thought I only knew "Truth Hurts", and I can't say I liked it much. I poked around on Youtube and heard "Good as Hell". It sounded semi-familiar and I liked it more than "Truth", though I still didn't think it was great. I gave "Juice" a play and immediately liked it. If she can put out more stuff of that caliber, sign me up!
She's my favorite artist of the year. I love everything about her. Saw her at the Palladium. I urge you to give the entire deluxe edition of Cuz I Love You a good listen. Just a delight.
Thinking about it. Is there anything else on a par with "Juice"? If the album's more "Juice" than "Truth", I'm in...
I'd say it is split down the middle. Try the following songs: Cuz I love You Jerome Heaven Help Me Lingerie
I'd like to address the white elephant in the room (no pun intended). I need to feel some level of physical attraction to a performer, male or female. Hence, I'm not a fan of hers.
Aw, screw it - I'll just buy a copy. I like to dive in headfirst! If I don't like it, I'll bill you for it!
I agree totally. I tried so hard to get tickets to her recent Melbourne gig at one of my favourite venues but missed out. They sold out in record time, only a few minutes and they were gone. She donated time and money to the bushfire appeal while she was here, which was greatly appreciated. I hope she comes back soon because she could easily sell out larger venues easily.
Tempo is a favourite of mine too with Missy Elliott. But really, it is a really enjoyable album that to me just gets better with every listen.
Really? Ian Anderson turn you on, dude? Flo and Eddie your thing? Or Ian Hunter, Leslie West, etc.? Dreamy Randy Bachman, he's my turn on. Silly comment.
I'm loathe to completely disparage this remark because were it not for Jerry's waxing come-hither beauty during the second half-of the band's career, I would've dumped the Dead circa 1979.
Methinks "joepepitone" made his comment so he could make sure we knew he thought Lizzo was unattractive - because this information is vital to the operation of this site and our lives. Classy "accidental" use of elephant in his post, too!
I used to hear her single Fitness played during spin class a couple years ago and liked it, but when I gave the current full length a play I was a little mixed on it. I’m sure it’s a fun live show.
Think of the positive though. The contest to crown sh.tvs Best & Brightest has just been reduced by one candidate.
playing "Juice" presently...OMG she's great! love her!...strangely I feel a little Prince conjuring and most def old disco...I'm gonna go dance with my honey! : )
and he smushed together two different idioms: 'white elephant' and 'elephant in the room', unintentionally and nonsensically as far as I can tell.
Listening to Cuz I Love You, I get the distinct impression that Lizzo couldn't give a flying **** what anyone says. It's a great record, good to see her getting some recognition for it.
