Any Mission turntable, amp or speaker owners out there in hifi-land?

Back-in-the-day I worked for an audio specialist and we were one of the few Mission dealers around. We started out as Mission dealers by selling their speakers, models 70, 70 MkII, 700, 707, 727, 737 and 770. We then added their electronics, at the time we brought in the 778 integrated amp, then the Cyrus line of integrated's and their CD player. We also displayed their high-end turntable ($1k as I recall) and a couple of years later offered a mid-range model and another for around $500 as I recall. It was all great sounding gear. Their speakers became one of our leading speaker brands.

I see Mission still is in business and sells in Europe but it doesn't appear that they sell here in the USA.

Does anyone here still use a Mission turntable, amp or speakers in your system? I'd love to see some pics if you do, please post your photos. Thanks!

Cyrus 7 amp still doing the business here after many years. Always loved the shoebox form, despite a bit of over-crowding around the inputs! Other bits of kit have come and gone, but the 7 has been a constant. Currently driving some Royd Abbots. Keep planning to pick up a PSX-R at some point, but it's never happened....:shh:

I loved the design and simplicity too. Here is a link showing the original design, the 778 integrated which then became the Cyrus series as I recall. mission 778 - Google Search :

They also had a separate pre-amp and power amp, each with the Mission logo as the front panel. Great, classic kit!

Had to replace the sorbothane feet twice. The first time with sorbothane. Now I've got the table on Herbie's Tenderfeet, excellent choice.

This table is still an excellent performer. Currently looking to replace the right-angle DIN to RCA interconnect, the original's ground lead snapped off and it's just the bare wire.

Mission 701 Speakers. I think they were bought over or something and are no longer in the UK.

I still have and love my 752s partnered with the 75AS sub. For home cinema I have the 75C with the 751s on the rear. My Cyrus 3 is on pre duties and the 752s are bi-amped with 90s vintage Cyrus power/psxr combos and the 75C also has an old Cyrus power. I bought a used QPower for the rears but it’s not hooked up at the mo’.

I have two 775 turntables and three 774 arms. Also still have my original 770 speakers. Foam grills have turned to dust however.

I passed on my old Mission 751's to a family member and they still sound great paired with an Arcam CD player and Arcam 7 amp and tuner. I think they (Mission) are now part of the IAG group, manufacturing in China and including others like Quad, Castle, and Wharfedale.

Cyrus are still going strong, and winning awards, with CD players and amp, a new hi spec phono stage, and increasingly into streaming kit.

As above, except to say don't let the country of manufactured put anyone off. Respected designer Peter Comeau is out in China onsite heading up the operation as Head of Acoustic Design for IAG.

I still have some Mission MX1 speakers in storage, but about 18 months ago upgraded my system to floorstanders.

I had some 733 floorstanders bought in the mid 90's . Most of their life they'd been partnered with a Marantz pm310 than a small sony amp. They sound ok. I gave them away along with a sony and cd player , just a couple of weeks ago. They've gone to a good home.

    First post...
    Hi y'all
Still using my rosewood 770's paired with original Adcom separates in my stereo set-up. I had the woofer/kids replaced in the early 90's due to burglar damage - bastards kicked them in! Still digging the sound but thinking of upgrading to floorstanders soon. My grilles also turned to dust decades ago.
