(before someone catches my math mistake) that would be $468 a year, not $350.

Lately it seems like all of the Google ads I ever get now are for VNYL. Anyone else getting these?

Wouldn't vnyl have to pay Google for that advertising in some way?

    It's a handsome-looking thing, though.

I guess this was developed with some leftover kickstarter money that he fleeced from pledgers.
I can't tell how this thing works though... from that article (the only info available, nothing on the VNYL site) it just looks like a turntable.. I don't see any display or other type of interface for navigating Spotify, etc.

Very smart idea, imo - a social media-aware turntable.

Not really made for audophiles (I'm guessing) given the lack of cables...probably uses Bluetooth for speakers / mobile devices and possibly an app for playlist building and the social media connectivity.

    On a related note:

VNLY to rename itself OVRPRCSHT4SCKRS, to better reflect their expanded product line.

  11. Not sure it'd be wise to shell out a few hundred bucks to a company whose proprietor was too stupid to work out whether the service he was building the company around was legal.

Turntable looks nice. I'd like to see the reviews.

The white turntable looks pretty. But gold tonearm and knobs look tacky. IMHO.

Not just this product, but any Kickstarter. You're basically taking at risk that you're going to like the product before you've even had a chance to kick the tires.

This turntable sounds like a good product on paper, assuming one is looking for a device that has hooks into social media. And it certainly looks nice. But before I dropped $350+ on it I think I'd want to read a few reviews first, or get a demo if I lived in the area.

Not to mention you shell out $351 now for a turntable you get in a little over a year. He should change his name to Wimpy,

I think the tables look cool (although I am not in the market), but preordering anything on that level with no specs available? Nope! I don't even know what the pretty gold knobs do! o_O

Online record membership service VNYL closed its brick-and-mortar shop at 1136 Abbot Kinney Blvd. in May. Suitsupply, a European menswear label, replaces it with the brand’s first pop-up shop on the Westside through March 2017. (424) 206-6180

If you go to the VNLY Facebook page, it now seems they are rebranding themselves as "random vinyl for women". There are a ton of videos of women (only women) opening pink colored VNLY boxes on that page...

Anyone believe this is really going to ship "Summer 2016" for all those people who shell out nearly $400 sight unseen:
