I am thinking of replacing the Kimber AGDL cable that connects my cd player's digital out to my DAC with Grover cable. Grover has suggested his MKIII in this application. Has anyone used Grovers as a digital cable? Has there been any noticable difference from what you used previously? Thanks for any input!

So you don't mean a "toslink" or a "optical" cable?

I've used the MKI's from the DAC to the preamp. Outstanding results!

Correct, I was going to use this in the coaxial cable output on the cd player. I have never used the toslink connection. I always assumed it was inferior to the coaxial.

Alan G, you are correct (I asked a few local stereo stores about toslink vs. coaxial)

I'd presume that Grovers would win over coaxial....

isn't a digital cable different than an analog interconnect cable?

I would have thought so but I had an extra run of Grover's MKI and I tried it out briefly and it seemed to work just fine.

As long as the cable (and connector) is rated at 75ohm, it can be used for audio, digital, & video.
