Oh yeah! Since I was a little kid. I use to roller skate to April Wine in the 80s. Great times. Harder....Faster, The Nature of the Beast, Power Play, all great.

    Like April Wine.

Some good songs, but few strong albums. Nature of the Beast and Stand Back being their best.

Three guitar attack ala Skynyrd with addition of Brian Greenway. Fairly unique for back then.

I have an old copy of Electric Jewels on vinyl that I wore out in the 70's. Great album.

The Whole World's Going Crazy. Bought it just for the cover. I know it's not rated highly in their catalog, but it's the only one I kept.

I was a huge fan of the early stuff, my favourite albums are Stand Back, On Record, S/T & Electric Jewels. Their best material IMO was when Goodwyn and Clench were together I found the three guitar version became boring. Only The Nature of the Beast remains on my playlist from the Capitol era.

They were part of the soundtrack to my cruisin' days back in the late 70's and early 80's. I Like To Rock. Saw them in 1981.

Is that a US pressing, I have not seen that cover before? I am wondering if the track listing is the same as the first album in Canada?

Thank you, mystery solved. I should have known that because of the picture of Jim Clench, he was not on S/T. :hide:

Drop Your Guns, Work All Day show they did rock in the early days. Plus their covers of Bad Side of the Moon and Could have been a Lady were very well done.

Yep, the US S/T is named On Record up here. The first LP in Canada had this cover. Fast Train is the best known song.

Yep. First one was never released in the US. Neither was "Electric Jewels", "Live" and "Forever For Now".

  24. Man, these guys were inescapable if you lived in Canada from the mid-'70s through the early '80s.

A couple songs off Forever For Now were on the US version of The Whole World's Goin' Crazy LP. Childs Garden and another that escapes me at the moment.
