I still have to make up my mind for the third as i realize that i don't know half of his discography (i have a vague souvenir of A Night In Tunisia, MATJCOTW and Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers). Lot of home work to do... :D

    A bump for more input.

For his Blue Note albums on CD, am I OK with the early US releases? I’m especially looking for “Free For All,” “Buhania’s Delight” and “Mosaic.”

I have both the older McMaster & the RVG of Free For All” on CD, and I very much prefer the McMaster. I’ve yet to hear the Japanese release with the extra alternative take of the title track, however. I’m reluctant to pay the big bucks that one seems to command for a single CD.

    But the McMaster is great.

Yes, the early US CD pressings are very good.
