In the last shows of the Flo & Eddie lineup of the Mothers they performed a straight cover of "I Want To Hold Your Hand." Zappa mentioned it in the Real FZ Book but it hasn't yet been officially released either.

    Also did Tomorrow Never Knows.

  3. It appears they've done a couple others as well, as well as "Purple Haze". Funny, they seemed like the sort of band that wouldn't do any covers.

Yeah, both happened in that 90s era when they became a pretty different kind of band.

I wouldn’t consider him an artist, though. That’s a serious stretch.

    Let’s see:

    Little Feat

Also 'Tutti Frutti', 'Baby I Don't Care', 'Gimme Some Lovin' (Wembley '86) and 'Tavaszi Szél Vizet Áraszt' (a traditional folk song from Hungary, on Hungarian Rhapsody).
Don't forget the national anthem 'God Save The Queen' on A Night At The Opera and some live albums... and the 'Beside The Seaside' song on Queen II (the outro in 'Seven Seas Of Rhye').^^

By the way, allegedly they also recorded a studio version of a Rock'n'Roll medley during the first album's session(s).

What an incredibly stupid thread. Some people really got nothing better to do with their time.
