First two albums - the ones with Eno - were entirely written by Bryan Ferry, though even then you could hardly claim that he was providing the vision for, let alone the sound of, the band. The later albums feature a lot of music composed by Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay - both of whom played on every Roxy album (as did Paul Thompson). Ferry usually played some of the keyboards on their albums. Roxy are a very long way from being a singer/songwriter and some hired help.

This originally had all 4 members that could slip behind a semi transparent glassine sheet....so any of the 4 members could be the cover-star.....beautiful design!!!

There's always been the "Sade is a band" argument, which is true, but... one could be forgiven for thinking it's a female soloist because the lead singer, also named Sade mind you, is the forefront of all the covers and videos, without the other band members on any of the album covers

The Spiders were promoted as Bowie's band and probably the only time up to Tin Machine where Bowie threw himself into the concept of being part of a publicly recognisable band.

Of the 8 Eurythmics studio albums Dave Stewart only appears on the cover of 3 of them.
