    Disagree.

Face Dances looks better with age and Who, their most recent, is solid. With Who, I just think, where have you been for 30 years, Pete?

I think Billy Joel ended at the right time.
River of Dreams is a fine album

  7. Wasp Star is OK. I happen to think very highly of Apple Venus. Nonsuch as well except for one or two tracks.

  8. I think that Deceptive Bends was a worthy addition and equal to the Godley & Creme years.

Zappa Studio - Zoot Allures. Plenty of later live records but all my favorites are from the 70's as well. After like 78 or 79 he loses my interest.

CCR could have exited on that bizarre last track of Pendulum.
Marmalade shoulda called it after Our House is Rocking.
Badfinger (in name) should have ended with an actual release of Head First in 1975.

My heart is warmed by the lack of Weezer mentions.

I don't understand if that was supposed be a legitimate jab or a joke, especially considering their history together.

Stones exile although a minor case could be made for goats head soup.

But exile would of the been the epic album to go out on.

Far be it from to to tell a musician or band they should stop because I don't care for their latest work, but as a fun exercise:

David Bowie and Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps).

I hate to say it, but sometimes I kinda wish Tunnel of Love was where Bruce Springsteen had left off.

ABC and Lexicon of Love. I always liked the idea of making a perfect record and calling it a day, moving on to another project.

No, I didn’t like that one.

I liked Collapse Into Now, though - but I think New Adventures would’ve been an awesome signing off.

I like all their music beyond Wind Of Change. The '89 Airplane album and Tree Of Liberty, especially. For me, the former is a great Eighties update of the Airplane sound and the latter is a candidate for the best folk-rock album to come out of the USA.

I was a bit sceptical about the change of sound and I do miss the brass/banjo combo that dominated the first two records but I've enjoyed the recent albums well enough, The songwriting is still strong.

Now that Winston Marshall has left the band to spend more time with politics, I doubt we'll have a return to the old sound any time soon.

That's fine. I stopped caring about the band's new music since Wilder Mind.
