    Written by Frank Zappa.

Still have my well played copy of "Jan + Dean Meet Batman". My Dad got it for me for my birthday from the cut-out bins at Hill's Dept. Store.

I have fond memories of this album, Ibought it on cassette when the Tim Burton movie came out in '89. It consists of sound clips from the show and background music. For example, Holy-Hole-In-The-Doughnut is a piece of background music that has various Robin "Holy..."quotes overlaid on top of it.

I like the slowed-down, bump-and-grind arrangement of The Revengers:

I'm glad you included the Sun Ra/ Blues Project record. Of course I didn't know that as a kid, but when was first (re)introduced to Sun Ra via the "Singles" compilation and "Cosmic Tones for Mental Therapy" (esp "Moon Dance"), that old Batman album came to mind. I was pleased to discover that I was correct in connecting them. Pat Patrick's bari sax and Sun Ra's organ stick out.

Sun Ra was never much good at zipping his fly, was he?

Was digging through an old box and found these from my childhood. Any idea what they're worth? I have Batman, Robin, The Batmobile, Joker & Penguin. Not sure if there was a Riddler, but I don't think so.

Well, that would have been something to see since The Marketts were actually the "Wrecking Crew" studio group (Hal Blaine, Tommy Tededsco, Plas Johnson, Carol Kaye, etc.). I'm guessing who you saw was the fake touring band put together by Warner Brothers during the 60's making believe they were the Marketts.

In 1966 Connie Francis recorded a version of the Batman Theme (during the sessions for her "Connie Francis and The Kids Next Door" album.)
The song was supposedly so awful that it was never released. (And it's not available on the net, I've checked more than once.)

Fun thread, glad to see it awaken. I've had this CD since the 80's:

Looking forward to listening to this one. It's the soundtrack to the new Batman animated feature and done in the style of the classic TV show and is a limited release from La La Land Records.

Could not find the CD on Amazon or Bull Moose, although Amazon has the album in their digital music store. Only place I could find the CD was on La La Lands website.
