That's a pity, a CATP/Holland set might be interesting for even casual/non-fans. WE can hope for digital releases at the last minute, though.

Random question and hoping someone knows the answer. On Shut Down V2, why is “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” mono on both the mono and stereo sections of the SACD? There was never even a duophonic version on the original LP?
Friends is arguably one of their best albums, and supposedly one of Brian’s favorites, but all we get recently is some digital download thing??
The SACD is from the original stereo master. Like on the All Summer Long SACD, you get I Get Around and All Summer Long in Duophonic.
Shut Down Volume 2 by The Beach Boys Sharing my pod again incase you’re interested in a direct comparison - the “stereomono” is actually an alternate mono mix. I reckon as Chuck was known for mixing stereo while monitoring in mono, he forgot to turn the panning knobs.
Mono and "stereo" of Why Do Fools Fall In Love are in fact two different mono mixes on mono/stereo LP.
