Instead of 'least favorite' let me say it this way, least played.
    That would be Abbey Road.
Yes of course I like it, it's The Beatles. But it has been my least played Beatles album over these last 50 plus years.
So I guess least favorite does work. It never gets started for me and then all of a sudden it's The End.

I was just kidding. I've always liked Let It Be.

I just never understood how people can offhandedly dismiss one of the greatest vocals that John Lennon ever performed in the studio.

As far as the legitimate albums go. You're probably right. Track list wise Dexter didn't have to make much of an effort to transform this into one of the best American albums.

I know what you mean about this album...
There are some great originals and covers but there are more weak songs than I'd like.
' Devil In Her Heart ' is blah , ' Little Child ' and ' Hold Me Tight ' are very slight and ' Til There Was You ' is corny and dated even at this early stage.

Yet people will gush over the covers on this album and how they make The Beatles Second Album so boss. I've always disagreed. By getting rid of all the covers except for the one for the grannies, Dexter had an in for the Elvis is a nice boy approach.
Of course putting the current single on was a no-brainer and This Boy is just a fabulous piece of work.

Honestly, he couldn't have screwed this one up if he tried. The same with Rubber Soul.

By the way I'm focusing on the American releases because that's where my least favorite Beatle albums are. Anyone want to go a couple rounds over the Beatles Second Album?

A poll would have been easier than having lots of people, such as myself, write in:

    Let it Be

If i had to pick, it would be Beatles For Sale, but that’s a good album too

I don't understand how anyone can prefer the covers and amateur early Beatles songs on With The Beatles over Let It Be with it's stone cold classics Let It Be, Get Back, Across The Universe, etc. My theory is people don't like the Let It Be album mainly because they associate it with the turmoil in the band at the time, rather than the quality of the songs on it.

Put it this way...if I had a pile of Beatles albums to listen to I think Beatles For Sale would be the most likely to be picked last.

Some of those covers and early originals are among their best songs.
' Let It Be ' has some of their best songs too.
All their albums have some of their best songs.

Andy Smith .....Like a good pinch of snuff......

Least played is the White Album. For many of us there for AHDN, Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver and Pepper, TWA was a huge disappointment. A disjointed mess. Still don’t like it.

This is why I don't tire of or get annoyed by the large number of Beatles threads on this forum.
So many different opinions about their music.
